Gladiatori Hotel & Apartments

Say "gladiators" and what comes to mind? Probably the same thing you'll see from the roof garden and some guestroom windows at this brand new hotel: the Coliseum! The hotel occupies a classic Roman palazzo that started its life in the 1500s as an aristocratic hunting lodge, and which in turn had been built atop the famed athletes' barracks. The result today is a combination of comfort, drama and utility, and after a busy day sightseeing, you will be thrilled to relax with an aperitivo on the unbeatable roof terrace overlooking one of the wonders of the ancient world. For families and small groups, the hotel offers fully furnished luxury apartments a few blocks away, with access to all hotel services.

Location:

The hotel is on Via Labicana, across the street from the Coliseum, the apartments are on the same street or on Via dei Serpenti, up the street from the Forum. The Roman Forum and Circus Maximus are also very nearby. You can walk to most of the sights in ancient Rome within half an hour. There is also a nice public garden here, where the ruins of Nero's Domus Aurea can be visited. Click here to see a map.

Public Transportation: Many buses stop in front of the hotel, and the subway station is across the street.
