For years we've sought out a nice place to stay between Florence and Bologna, and finally we're thrilled to say we found it! This little oasis is surrounded by a well-tended garden and a quiet forest where you can take relaxing walks, yet it a mere five minutes from the autostrada. Inside, you'll find an inviting atmosphere and a friendly welcome by your hosts Alessandra and Mario (who hails originally from New York).

Location: Outside Sasso Marconi, halfway between Florence and Bologna, 4 km from the autostrada. Click here for a map.                     Rooms: Only 6! All have either one double bed or two twin beds. Single rooms are smaller rooms with one double bed. Two rooms can also have a third bed for a child of 5 years or younger. One room has a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. Every room is beautifully furnished with luxurious fabrics, fine linens and antique furniture. Most have a desk and lovely views of the mountain. All the rooms are non-smoking and smoking is seriously discouraged anywhere in the building.                     Features: All guestrooms are air conditioned and have window screens, double windows, telephone with modem hook-up, mini-bar, and luggage rack. Bathrooms offer brand-new stall showers, excellent courtesy sets with razor and toothbrush, terrycloth towels, robes and slippers, hair dryers.                     Facilities: Elevator, evening turndown service, breakfast in your room or in the breakfast room, children's playground, parking: The front door is always open and all guests are provided with the main door key and the gate remote control in case they want to return very late at night. Dinner may be available in summer months.

If you think you might want dinner, please request it at time of booking. During months when dinner is not available, there is a wonderful restaurant inside a castle located about 6 km from the hotel (closed on Tuesdays). Dinner at the restaurant costs 35-50 Euro/person, including beverages.
