Villa Fiesole

THE FOLLOWING DATES ARE ALREADY BOOKED IN 2009:
Feb. 5-6

Character: Small and charming, with two buildings: a 19th-century villa with high frescoed ceilings and marble floors, and the former greenhouse of Villa San Michele, now converted into elegant guest rooms.
Location: In the town of Fiesole, on a hillside overlooking Florence. This is a great place if you don't want to be in the country or in the city, because you can take a city bus right down the hill into the historic center in 20 minutes (it stops very near the hotel), but in the afternoon you can relax in the quiet shade of the pine trees and enjoy the view. Size: About 20 rooms in the new wing and six in the villa.
Features: Air conditioning, direct-dial telephone in both bedroom and bathroom, terrycloth robes and matching slippers, perfumed bath salts and creams, heated terrycloth towels, full-sized tubs, hair dryers and large, comfortable beds, even cedar-lined closets. Small swimming pool. Price includes breakfast.
Price range: From 100. EURO/night. To see specific prices for the dates of your stay, please click here.
Minimum stay: Two nights.
Advantages: Quieter than the city; good restaurants nearby; fantastic view of the Duomo from the terrace.
Disadvantages: The bathrooms in the villa are not as modern as those in the new wing, and the villa does not have an elevator.
Car needed: No.
