You were absolutely correct!
Our two night stay at the Empire Palace turned out to be nearly perfect. Our room was more than large enough, the sheets and bedding quite comfortable and the service was fine, though a bit impersonal -- except for Pedro, the bellman, who was engaging and most informative!

Our trip was wonderful. We travelled extensively in Umbria and loved the landscapes. The people were incredibly friendly and generous to us. Thank you so much for your help and patience in setting up our trip. It was marvelous - my fourth trip to Italy, but the first for my family. They had a wonderful time. Rome was amazing as usual but the cooler mountain air in Assisi and Orvieto was a nice break. The Empire Palace Hotel was very nice. The staff was great - spoke English better than expected - and the 'continental' breakfast was probably the nicest in Rome and offered a better selection than any I've ever seen. Definently a top-notch place to stay. Thanks again.
