Although this is strictly a pedestrian area and we do not recommend having a car in Florence, you can drive right up to the hotel to unload and load your baggage. Their simple B&B is filled with plants, and located in an authentic medieval building on a quiet cobblestone street just around the corner from the Uffizi Galleries and Piazza Signoria, literally a stone's throw from all the shopping and sightseeing that made Florence the #1 Travel Destination in the World for 2007. All the renown may have brought myriad tourists to the Tuscan capital, but few of them will be found on this secret cul-de-sac, which still looks and feels much as it might have when Dante or Petrarch strolled here.

Rooms: 23, including singles, doubles, triples and quads, with tile floors and classic Tuscan furnishings. Quad rooms have one queen bed and two single beds. Standard rooms are small; the eight superior rooms were more recently remodeled and are worth the extra 10 Euro/night. Each room has a private bath with stall shower or bathtub with handheld shower. Non-smoking rooms are available.         Features: Air conditioning, color satellite TV, direct-dial telephone with high-speed DSL connection, and mini-bar. There is a hair dryer in each bathroom.         Facilities: 24-hour front desk; breakfast patio for warmer months; safe at the reception desk; wireless in the lobby; garage parking nearby at 30 Euro/night.

Please note that there is no elevator at this hotel. Some rooms are on the first floor and some on the second, so you must be able to climb stairs if you stay here. The staff will be happy to help you with your luggage.
