Gladiatori Hotel & Apartments

City-Center Lodgings - Romantic Lodgings

Character: Small and elegant boutique hotel offering five-star services at four-star prices.
Advantages: Rome's best views of the Coliseum are those from the hotel's roof terrace, and from some rooms.
Location: The hotel is on Via Labicana, across the street from the Coliseum. The apartments are on the same street or on Via dei Serpenti, up the street from the Forum. The hotel is only a five-minute walk from the Roman Forum and Circus Maximus. You can walk to most of the sights in ancient Rome within half an hour; or take the subway to St. Peter's. There is also a nice public garden here, where the ruins of Nero's Domus Aurea can be visited. Click here to see a map.
Say "gladiators" and what comes to mind? Probably the same thing you'll see from the roof garden and some guestroom windows at this brand new hotel: the Coliseum! The hotel occupies a classic Roman palazzo that started its life in the 1500s as an aristocratic hunting lodge, and which in turn had been built atop the famed athletes' barracks. The result today is a combination of comfort, drama and utility, and after a busy day sightseeing, you will be thrilled to relax with an aperitivo on the covered roof terrace with unbeatable views of this ancient world wonder. For families and small groups, the hotel offers fully furnished luxury apartments a few blocks away, with access to all hotel services.
