Kristin and Jessica -
Our trip was wonderful! I will catch up with the real world and start to post guest reviews on the websites. Jessica - everything worked out fine in Rome with the tours. Kristin - Albergo Firenze was perfect. Great location and the staff very helpful. I don't think we had a favorite place as every location was different - Sorrento (a place we will definitely return to), Rome, Gaiole, Florence and Venice all had something to offer. The Hotel Abbazia was the nicest of our accommodations but we got a triple room instead of a superior double, making it all that much a better way to end the trip. Plus, Fabio and Mirko were quite the hosts!
Thank you for all of your assistance. I have mentioned the website often and enjoyed being able to plan my own trip with your experience.
Sincerely,
Linda and Gene G.
Hello,
Thank you for the follow up email re: our accommodations at Hotel Firenze. While
being conveniently located, I would definitely NOT stay at Hotel Firenze again.
The hotel lacked the charm and friendliness, something that we weren't accustomed
to during our time in Italy. All the hotels we've stayed at had pleasant staff.
We were extremely disappointed with their lack of customer service. I had requested
a room facing the piazza, which they had confirmed when I originally booked the
hotel. Upon our arrival, they checked us in and gave us Suite #310 - which did
not overlook the piazza. We didn't know this until we actually went to the room
(I didn't bother going back to the desk to ask for another room). However, what
annoyed us the most were the noisy group of American kids staying on the first
floor. When we complained that we could hear them (on the first floor) from our
room (on the 3rd floor), Hotel Firenze staff weren't too sympathetic. I know
other patrons had complained, but nothing seemed to have been done since we heard
them the 3 nights we were there. We attempted to get another room, possibly on
the 4th floor, but were told there were no more rooms available. I understand
that hotels aren't responsible for the actions of their guests, however, Hotel
Firenze should have taken a more proactive approach, especially if they have
had multiple complaints. We were displeased with the hotel and would not recommend
it to others.
