Hi,
Our stay at the Pasitea Positea Hotel was very good. We liked the hotel and the stay there. The picture on
the webside was not lying to us.
But our next two days at another hotel in Amalfi (not booked through In Italy Online) was also nice. But the
hotel was bad. Old, and the price was the same as for the hotel in Positea.
The area was very very nice all the way, and we love to be back once, perhaps... Our
experience is that you have to be very carefull with finding a hotel in Italy.
We have visited Italy several times, and hopfully this will not be the last.
Regards,
Elin H.
Dear In Italy,
Your directions for getting to Positano by pubic transport may be correct during the "in season" but they were wrong for when I was there. We took the train to Salerno, and then walked over to Piazza Concordia (I think I'm remembering that right) only to be told we needed to go back to the train station to catch the Sita bus. Also, we had to take a bus to Amalfi, and then change to another one to get to Positano, as there is no bus that goes all the way from Salerno to Positano. The drive was lovely, but it ended up being a really really long trip from Rome, and I'm not sure I'd advise people without a car to do this unless they are forewarned that they will spend the entire day traveling.
The Positano Pasitea was lovely. We wanted to change rooms to one that had a patio with lounge chairs, and even though the hotel was fully booked, the staff was very helpful and moved things around so that we could have the room we wanted.
My last comment is on your emailed list of things to do. Again, some of the things you had on the list were not available on the off-season, but people didn't seem to know that. So, we spent 60 euro taking a boat to Ischia for the thermal parks, only to find out once we got there that they don't open this early in the year. That was a big disappointment (and a fairly large expense).
Hope this helps.

Hi Jessica,
First of all, I must say that everything we booked through InItaly Online was absolutely perfect. The maps I ordered were simply great, right down to the tiniest detail. We walked all over Rome and found even the most crooked lanes on them. Hotel Positano Pasitea was also lovely and the staff were very good at accommodating my husband's request re parking. We are already planning our next trips (yes, we have several in mind) and will obviously use your services. One includes Sicily and it would be great if you would be able to have some more recommendations there. We will also be looking at your apartment rental suggestions in and around Florence and Positano/Ravello, as we want to spend more time in these areas.
I wish you happy holidays and good health in 2006.
Grazie per tutto e a presto!

Dear In Italy,
Positano was a wonderful surprise. The beauty was not only in the landscape but in the local people. Very welcoming.................... Hotel Positea gave us wonderful local restaurant suggestions and the staff was friendly. However they seemed somewhat hung up on need to see the internet reservation even when I had a faxed reservation copy directly from them...ODD....
The room was nice, well kept but they could use softer pillows...and a humidifier for the rooms....somewhat moldy smelling....
Overall...it was nice...thanks
Shirley
Dear In Italy,
