We recently revisited one of the best-known 4-star hotels in Venice and were very pleasantly surprised. The location is literally two blocks from the train station, which means getting to it with your baggage is virtually effortless and costfree (two very rare commodities in Venice!). It also occupies a historical building, thus has lots more charm that the average 4-star hotel. About 30% of the rooms overlook a picturesque stretch of the Grand Canal.
