Dear In Italy,
We found the cell phone extremely valuable in our journey and would not travel in Italy without one in the future. Several times along the way, the exact location of certain places would not be listed on our maps or perhaps the street name changed - to have the ability to call for directions was a tremendous time & frustration saver.
Hotel Splendide Royal is indeed lovely and comfortable. I was first shown a tiny room looking into the center, but upon request we were moved to a larger and much more comfortable room that looked out on the entrance of the hotel. Overall, the beds were quite firm but comfortable, breakfast plentiful & delicious, housekeeping meticulous, the location excellent & quiet, and the staff extremely well-trained & genuinely service oriented. One of the young men on staff followed behind my husband to drop-off our vehicle at AutoEurope so that he would have no trouble returning to the hotel. The concierge called us in Lecce after he attempted to locate my lost sunglasses - what service! The recommended restaurant near the Pantheon (Osteria Antiquarium - I think) has delightful food and service. No doubt, we will return on our next visit to Rome. Wonderful place to stay! Mirabelle was a delight though somewhat painful on the pocketbook even with the 10% discount on lunch.
We appreciate all your help and suggestions. You were able to get the reservation at Splendide Royal when all the web sites said they had no rooms available. Your recommendation to lease a vehicle from AutoEurope with the cell phone was excellent. I have already recommended InItaly.com to several people that asked how we planned our trip.

Our trip was outstanding!! We went with our daughter, Carrie Fish and her
husband, Dale. She has already communicated with you about the trip. The Hotel
Splendide Royal was excellent and we both would recommend it. The rooms were
great and the people who work there were most courteous. Thank you for all your

Hi,
We returned safely home and had a wonderful time. I planned this trip for 11
people, with your help and suggestions, and everyone loved it. It could have
not been better. All the accommodations were wonderful and comfortable. The people
could not have been more friendly or helpful.
We stayed at the Hotel Londra Palace for two nights, and then flew to Rome. We
stayed at the Hotel Splendide Royal, which everyone agreed was the nicest. Every
place included Breakfast, but this was the best. I contracted a private tour
guide, before I left home. He was recommended by a friend, and he was wonderful.
He provided a minibus for all 11 of us, and we toured for two days with him.
He took us to lunch at some wonderful places that are not for tourists. We celebrated
my husband’s birthday one day, and he even had a birthday cake for him.
He also recommended some inexpensive restaurants close to the hotel, that were
great.
It was a wonderful trip, and we hope to do it again in a couple years. Thanks
for your help and suggestions.

Hi Julie,
I apologize for the delay in my reply, I've been caught up in preparing for our Christmas holiday. We had a wonderful time in Rome and the Hotel Splendide Royal was just terrific. We would highly recommend it. Everyone at the hotel was very attentive to our every need. The restaurant at the Hotel Splendide was superior. Our meals there were wonderful, again the staff was very attentive, and there's a panoramic view of Rome from the terrace.
