Milan Zurigo

If you are looking for accommodations under the 300 Euro/night range, Milan does not offer a wide range of charming hotels. Indeed, guests arriving fresh from a historic Tuscan villa might consider this friendly little establishment to be rather bland. But in the hustle-and-bustle metropolis of Milan, it has more to crow about than just its low cost. First and foremost, it is newly renovated and always clean. Additionally, it has some fantastic amenities such as free Internet and bicycles for touring the city. Lastly, its very special ace-up-the-sleeve is its location, a short stroll from the Duomo and La Scala. For those looking to ease up on the budget a little bit, we think the Zurigo is a great choice, and for that reason In Italy Online is pleased to offer it at even lower prices available only to our guests.

Location: On Corso Italia, six blocks from the Duomo and La Scala. An amazing location for a budget hotel! Click here to see a map.

Public transportation: Because of the very strict traffic regulations, we do not suggest you drive to the hotel; but if you do, you can park nearby for 25-30 Euro/night. An easier idea is to use the yellow line subway and get off at the Missori stop, which is 50 yards away.

Rooms: 40, on three floors. Almost all the rooms have parquet floors. Single rooms are small and have a true single bed. Triple rooms have a king bed plus single bed or daybed. There are two sets of rooms with a single connecting to a double room. All the rooms overlook the garden or a private street so this is as quiet a location as you can get in the city center. This hotel is all non-smoking.

Features: Air conditioning, direct-dial telephone with modem hook-up, satellite TV, mini-bar, most rooms have a full-length mirror and desk; all have a private bathroom with bathtub and excellent shower (three rooms have a stall shower and no tub), hair dryer.

Facilities: Elevator, safe at the front desk, free Internet access in the lobby, free bicycles (first-come-first-served), good buffet breakfast, room service, nearby parking for approx. 26 Euro/day.
