Carefully designed to accentuate its extraordinary position among rolling hills
and vineyards, Borgo Filicardo has been recently built on Luciano Mignolli’s
wine estate Tenuta di Morzano. Located near the delightful village Montespertoli,
the family farm offers guests and wine lovers the possibility to spend a
relaxing vacation on a true working wine estate (the name Filicardo comes
by uniting the names of his grandsons - Filippo and Riccardo). The property
is made up of 140 hectacres including 47 hectares of vineyards and 4 hectares
of olives tress.
Each of the fifteen one-bedroom apartments (3 + 2) or (2 + 2), consist of a
large living room with a fireplace, a kitchenette (equipped with oven, stove
top, refrigerator), a bedroom and a bathroom with shower. Each apartment
has a private panoramic terrace furnished with an outdoor table and chairs,
a lounge chair, and a barbecue. The apartments (3 + 2) are suitable for families,
having an extra bed in the bedroom. Amenities such as air conditioning and
satellite television have not been forgotten.
At Borgo Filicardo we will be proud to have you come spend a week of complete
freedom and relaxation with us. You will be always welcome on every part
of the property: you can walk through our vineyards, visit our cellars, partake
in winetastings, and of course meet wonderful, genuine people. If you come
in September you can even help us with the grape harvest. There is a large
swimming pool which can be enjoyed, and common spaces to share intimate conversation.
Although you will be staying in the incredibly beautiful Tuscan countryside,
Borgo Filicardo is conveniently located for day trips – you are a mere
20 minutes by car from the Renaissance city of Florence and the medieval
town of towers San Gimignano.
