Italy was fascinating, relaxing and exciting. We truly enjoyed Borga Iesolana in Tuscany, one of In Italy’s accommodations. It was wonderful. The rooms have recently been remodeled and have the combination of contemporary and old Tuscan. The highlight of the stay was the meals cooked by Mama. We were willing to try other Tuscan restaurants but the food was the best we had eaten anywhere on our trip so that is where we ate. Why improve on something that was already perfect. Being in the hospitality and design industry we tend to have high standards and Iesolana met those standards.
We found that there are many places not crammed by people that are as delightful as those that are featured in the travel books. Walk up or down the hills of the Almafi coast and do not just stay by the shore, be willing to get lost in Venice as well as any other city or town, as every corner leads to a different adventure. Most important of all try not to ask directions as they will surely not get you where you are going any faster then discovering the way yourself.

This has been a bit of heaven. Iesolana was recommended to us by friends, and then I recommended it to friends before we even got here, so Nebraska, USA, will be well represented among your guests! We have enjoyed every minute and we hate to leave. We saw so many beautiful towns and scenery, sometimes planned, sometimes when we got lost! One of the highlights of the trip was taking a cooking class with Riccardo and Louise - even my husband, who doesn't cook much, loved it. We enjoyed watching, preparing, eating the wonderful foods we (Riccardo + Louise) made, and also just visiting with the two of them. Giovanni came into the kitchen to watch and take a few pictures - everyone here is so nice and so helpful. We did lots of trips - the weather has been perfect - sunny and mild - and it was always nice to come back, sit on the porch, drink a glass of wine + watch the sun go down. We saw lots of deer, pheasants, bats (!), lizards, a fox, and a huge hare - heard many different birds sounds - it is all just so peaceful. As we drove around and saw spectacular sights, I often thought I was glad we were staying at Iesolana. It seems to be removed from the hustle of Chianti + other areas, but is convenient to almost everywhere you'd like to go. We would love to come back and this visit will be a priceless memory. What a beautiful slice of heaven here in the country. The breakfast outside in the sunshine with the incredible view and the crossanits warmed with peach fillings were the highlight of our visit here. We loved the Portico apartment and all of the beautiful furnishings at the Iesolana. Giovanni and Milena made us feel so welcomed! And the Chianti countryside drives were so beautiful! Our only mistake was planning only two nights here! Next visit is a week for sure. Enjoy the beautiful place!

We have truly enjoyed our stay at Iesolana - it is one of the most beautiful and peaceful spots, and the perfect place to spend on honeymoon. We especially enjoyed the lunch at the Locanda dell'Amorosa just outside of Sinalunga - truly excellent. The central location in Tuscany makes this a perfect spot for touring, and the pool and beautiful mountains are a wonderful retreat from the more crowded tourist spots. We hope to return. Our stay in Tuscany has been wonderful. Iesolana has been more than we expected. The dinners that you prepared were great and we enjoyed our conversations with you and your warm hospitality. We made all of the wonderful drives to: Siena, San Gimignano, Montalcino, Castello Banfi, Florence, Rapolano Terme and Gaiole. The serenity + beauty of Iesolana was pure heaven after each day's venture into beautiful Tuscany. We visited Siena, Lucca, Assisi, San Gimignano + Florence. And of course the Prada outlet! We will definitely recommend Iesolana to our friends. Hopefully we will return someday with our families.
