You did a wonderful job guiding us through the trip. Both Venice and Rome were exciting and fascinating. Our accommodations in both cities were very, very nice. Hassan in Rome was helpful and charming and made us feel at home. The apartment could not have been nicer. We were somewhat prepared for busy/noisy traffic but also found it a bit stressful with cars/bikes zooming alongside the sidewalks with very impatient and rude drivers; in fact, overall, we have to say that we did not feel that visitors were exactly welcome – more, a bit of a nuisance. Very few Italians were "smiley" or kind or helpful and that was quite disappointing. Cities were wonderful and the buildings were truly awesome. Our Venetian guide was lovely. She was obviously very knowledgeable and patient with our questions. Our guide at the Vatican was also a real exception. He was from Ireland and working on a degree having spent almost four years in Rome. His extensive knowledge, personality and humor made us feel very much at ease. Should we visit your lovely country again it would be in the countryside – a slower pace and perhaps more relaxing.
Thank you for all the help you gave us in planning our first visit. I hope we meet again.
Hi there Kirill,
We loved the apartment - Roma Antica - but my sisters had their luggage stolen from their rental car when they parked for 2 hours by the river waiting to take possession of the apartment on Monday June 2 (very unexpected and disappointing). Hassan was very helpful. Aside from that, we had a fantastic trip.
