Dear Jessica,

Our trip to Italy went almost without a hitch, from beginning (10/5/09) to end (10/16/09). Villa Romana is a very nice moderate-priced Amalfi coast hotel. Stayed there for 5 nites & explored the great seaside towns of Amalfi, Positano, etc, then my grandfather's hometown of Palomonte. From there we drove north for the Self-Guided Southern Tuscany Tour. It was more than expected. Silvano in Radicofani was a wonderful host & showed us around Montalcino, fed & wined us as family. Next we went to a very nice small hotel 1 block from Pienza, where Gloria's family were very cordial. To wind up the trip, we went to Florence & stayed at a beautiful hotel very close to the airport so that we could spend one day in Firenze! Not enough time in a world-class city, but had been there before. Cannot find one fault with our hosts, nor the planning help by Initaly.com. Hope to repeat next year.
