Despite some cold, rainy, windy weather, we had a lovely time.
Pluses: The staff at the Hotel was very friendly and extremely accommodating. The front desk was more than willing to change our itinerary due to weather issues and the restaurant staff was very hospitable. All of tours went very smoothly and we enjoyed our guides and drivers very much. I am prone to motion sickness and the drivers were always willing to take it slowly. We will recommend In Italy Online to our friends.
Minuses: The view from our hotel room was obscured and was primarily of a stone wall. This wasn't a big deal to us as the weather kept us from enjoying our balcony; but it could have been a disappointment in the spring or summer. Also, the base of the toilet leaked when we took a shower in the morning. Notified housekeeping on Monday, but it was still leaking when we left on Wednesday. Our stay in Pompeii was too short. We would have liked to spend more time in the city and to have visited the shop. We had to rush out because our driver was double parked.

We returned from Rome last night -- and wanted to thank you especially for the Amalfi portion of the trip that you arranged. All went well. We enjoyed it very much. The program proceeded flawlessly. We would be happy to recommend In Italy to our friends.

Dear Kristin,
Our trip was truly once-in-a-lifetime. The Connoisseur's Amalfi Coast tour was just what we wanted: a mix of planned activities but flexibility to explore on your own once you arrived at each location. We would have liked more time at Pompeii. It was booked as 1/2 day, but that included transport time there and back, so it was really only two hours on-site. You can easily spend days exploring. However, the couple with us, who have more difficulty walking a lot, thought that was enough. It's all in what you prefer.
Ravello was our favorite and the guide the hotel arranged was top-notch. She hit all the highlights without dwelling too long anywhere unless we wanted to. She also made suggestions we could explore on our own depending on interest. After the tour you have time to eat where you choose, shop, see a museum, art galleries, churches, parks, or just rest at a cafe with local vino.
We were also very happy with the package price. When you see the total at first you think, "Wow, expensive." But when you consider everything included (your own taxi to and from train or airport; taxi and/or boats to and from trips every day; top quality meals and rooms; plus some attraction entrance fees) it's a bargain. I know because I researched and priced the components individually if we would have booked on our own. So In Italy has great connections!
In Italy's service was excellent too! We were a bit nervous doing everything online at first, but it's so convenient and with the documentation you provide, we didn't worry at all. We will definitely use your agency again.

Hi Kristin,
Sorry, it's taken me so long to get back to you but it's been so busy since we got back from Italy. I just wanted to thank you for everything. We had a wonderful time. The Amalfi Coast is spectacular. We lucked in with the weather. We even sat out on the balcony and watched the beautiful sunset. Our tour guides and bus driver were great, especially our bus driver. Those roads are unbelievable. He really knew what he was doing. Pompeii and Herculaneum were really interesting and quite a surprise. Our hotel, Tramonto D'Oro was beautiful, our rooms were spacious and clean with a lovely view of the water. The staff and owners were so hospitable and so interested in making our stay enjoyable. I thought it was so cute when they all came out to wave goodbye to us when we left.
All in all, it was a great trip. I really have nothing to complain about. Thank you once again.

Dear Kristin,
I want to commend the Hotel and InItaly in general. The trip was FABULOUS and the Owners of the hotel and the staff were above and beyond what could be expected!!! I was treated more like a friend than a customer. I will highly recommend both InItaly service and the hotel to all my friends. They really went out of their way to make my stay perfect. I stayed in other hotels while in Italy and by far the Hotel Tramonto D'Oro far surpassed any of the others. Please be sure and keep them on your list of hotels to use! Please feel free to post my comments so others can also hear about the great service.
