From Our Former Guests
Once again, In Italy Online has placed me in the midst of my dreams. You sent us to dwell among vineyards and castles in Tuscany, and we will be forever grateful.

To all travelers trying to plan your own holidays: I am a very diligent and organized planner, who spent many, many hours researching accommodations, etc. and using several different online companies to plan our 2 ½ week Italy/Spain vacation. I highly recommend using In Italy Online as a trip planner. They have access to many different locations which are not listed anywhere else. They have simplified the process and provide you with complete information. They communicate very well and are efficient at getting back to you quickly. In the long run, it is well worth having them do the leg work and give you the peace of mind that all is exactly what they have told you it will be.

Just wanted to follow up to tell you that this trip was life-changing, for both me and my son. Your role in producing such a fine itinerary is truly beyond description. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
There are so many incredible stories that came out of this trip, many of which occurred in between the pre-arranged schedule. In the rearview mirror, I am amazed that we stayed on track!
A thousand thousand thank yous!!!

I wanted to reach out and thank you for recommending Palazzo Marziale. We were thrilled with the place. Total class act. Intimate, personal, beautiful, and unique. Everything we were looking for. So that’s two successes in a row—our honeymoon ten year ago that you handled was awesome and our ten year anniversary was fantastic too. Hope you are still running strong in another ten years…..
Also very happy we did not stay in Positano or Amalfi…. Though Capri is a definite next time.

We very much enjoyed the Verona Winery, and it was my husband's favorite breakfast location. We started in rain, so were not inclined to walk the property, but I am sure other weather would have made for a great stroll. The staff was friendly and professional. Our room was fantastic, upstairs, large bathroom, refrigerator, and wine to sample, for a price. Restaurants nearby were very good, if limited in number, and only the take out pizza place was open Sunday night. It was one of our favorite meals, with a sampling of the winery's vintages. We made day trips from there to Padua, Mantua and Lake Garda, including Verona on the way to one of these. I imagine we could have headed in many other directions and had as great a time as we did with these choices.
At Hotel Posta in Reggio Emilia, we were very happy with the room. They arranged the cheese factory tour and a balsamic tour with dinner. Both tours were memorable. The difference between the US, with all its regulations, and what you can do outside the US is remarkable. We were two people and a representative from the co op for Parmigiano Reggiano took several hours out of her day to give us a private tour of the facility. And we were up close and personal. The balsamic tour topped even that, not for extent of the tour, but for the guide. The hotel owner's mother gave us the tour; her enthusiasm and energy were marvelous. We arrived just at dusk, so we hurried down the path, across the road and up stairs to a gazebo that looked out on their fields and back to Reggio Emilia. She very much wanted us to see this. After that, a thorough tour of the parts of the building related to vinegar making, storing, using, etc. She was off and we sat down to a delicious dinner.
I could write a separate letter about all of the wonderfulness of the Wine, Truffles & Castles in Piedmont program. From the hotel, to the visits, to the guides, to the truffle dog--we would not have missed a minute of any of it. We had a carnival in a lot across the street that we could see from our hotel window. Fun to watch at night while enjoying another sampling of wine and cheese and sausage from the Truffle Festival.
Clearly the truffle hunt and following tasting, with cheese and Barolo, was a highlight--though we had so many good experiences I can't call it the only highlight. Our truffle hunter, Ermanno, had an interpreter though clearly he spoke English, Bob and I and another couple not your clients made a nice group of six for the stroll through hazelnut orchards. Oh, and Marah, the dog, was a big hit. She found truffles!!! And we sampled, well, gorged, on truffles/goat cheese afterward.
The following day, we were a bit nervous about driving and sampling wine, but the stops were far enough apart, and Bob's samplings were restrained, so we did fine. We very much like the order of the visits as we started with a larger one, moved on to a smaller one, and then to the most intimate. Each one had an aspect that made it special. At the first, Max was the son of the son and wanting to keep the business going. Luca came back to the castle to run and improve the wine-making, not to live in a castle, and Francesco was someone special. They had a new tasting room and he put it to good use. Sampling several of his wines, we also enjoyed quite a spread of cheese, sausage, breadsticks, etc. We did purchase at least one bottle of wine at each winery we visited. We weren't sure of Customs regulations regarding bringing wine back to the US, so we were well fortified most nights before heading out to dinner. That's why we like hotels with restaurants within walking distance :-)
And then it was time to find Castle Trisobio. By this time it was getting dark and we were a bit fuzzy with the GPS. But find it we did, and the wonderful gentleman who showed us to our room--and cooked our dinner. Our "suite" had a terrific view of the village and was convenient to dinner. Neither our host nor waitress spoke much English and our Italian was even less, but we had no problem communicating.
So, the scheduled tours, the hotel suggestions, the car rental--everything was great. I have been using InItaly to help plan our trips to Italy since my first one in 1998, and plan to do so on the future. Thank you again, Kristin.
My wife and I would highly recommend In Italy Online as a trip planner. Kristin and her staff were incredible. They simplified the process and provided us with complete information for a two-month planned vacation, with a complete itinerary, bookings for lodgings and tours, and recommendations for restaurants and sites to visit. They communicate very well and are efficient at getting back to you quickly. It is well worth having them do the leg work to give you the peace of mind. The tours in Rome, Florence and Venice were superb, with extremely knowledgeable guides. Michael in Rome was incredible. He provided more education in art history in 2 days that I learned in a semester in college.
Our accommodations were exactly what we had hoped, at a very reasonable price. We stayed 3 weeks at Palazzo Bandino. It was perfectly located to allow us to travel throughout Tuscany, all within approximately of 1 hour drive. The food was very good, the cooking lessons informative and fun. Everywhere we stayed was an adventure with the sites, foods, the excellent customer services.
I would also highly recommend Reggio Emilia and staying at the Hotel Posta. The service was 5 stars. Umberto, the owner of the Hotel Posta, could not have been more helpful. He personally took my wife and me to his family’s restaurant and showed and explained the production of balsamic. The farm and restaurant is approximately 30 minutes from the hotel.
The rental cars were a perfect way to get around, since we drove approximately 3,000 miles during the 2 months. There wasn't much we didn't see, in Tuscany and Northern Italy. It also allowed us to make several trips to Florence after our initial stay. Florence was 1 of our favorites cities.
I cannot recommend In Italy enough. It was just the most wonderful 2 month experience.
We had a wonderful trip and enjoyed the tour of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel. The tour picked us up at our hotel on time and delivered us to the guide. She was very knowledgeable and shared much information about the art and history of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel. Thank you for your help coordinating the tour.
Thanks to you and Kristin for all your help. Truly a trip of a lifetime and one we will never forget. We enjoyed all the hotels you recommended and the train travel, rental car and GPS all went smoothly. Here are some comments on each segment of our trip.
As mentioned in other reviews we were also somewhat reluctant to place all our eggs in one basket with In Italy. After much research looking at other alternatives, the information provided on In Italy’s web site and promptness and thoroughness in responding to our questions led us to go with In Italy to plan and book our two week vacation in full.
Locanda Colosseo – We found this to be an excellent, reasonably priced hotel conveniently located close to the Coliseum, restaurants and a short walk to the Metro. Very clean and the staff were super helpful with directions and useful information. Breakfast next door gave us a local flavor watching the locals pull up on their scooters and grab a quick cappuccino or espresso and pastry on their way to work. The semi private Vatican Museums/St. Peter’s Basilica tour guide was excellent with the only glitch being that she was a half hour late and then had to resolve a problem with a party of four that she had no record of having paid, leading to our tour starting an hour later than scheduled.
Amalfi Coast & Capri Independent Tour – What a beautiful area, so glad we did this. Both hotels - Hotel Syrene on Capri and Hotel Marmorata were excellent. Again the English speaking staff at both were very helpful. On Capri we enjoyed the chair lift ride to the top of Mt. Solara, walking to Marina Piccola, the beautiful walk along Via Krupp and of course a boat tour including a visit to the Blue Grotto. This was great exercise as the hills are substantial. Sitting in the Piazzetta at night with a glass of wine and people watching was great entertainment. Hotel Marmorata is a unique hotel built into the seaside cliff where we enjoyed hanging out at the pool in late afternoon after a busy day of touring. The only negative here was that we didn’t find the restaurant to be all that good and options for dinner are limited as the hotel is somewhat isolated.
Portofino & Cinque Terre tour – This package afforded us the opportunity to see so much in the short time we had in the area. Having In Italy coordinate the train tickets, Cinque Park passes, wine tasting, boat excursion and chauffer driven tour of Portofino and Camogli allowed us to maximize our time spent in this region. We choose Hotel Stella - the three star hotel option as a cost saving measure. The hotel was clean but very basic, the breakfast very limited and the traffic noise was a disturbance. Also, English speaking staff was often not available which was something we were able to rely on for directions/assistance in each of the other hotels we stayed in. Also, our driver to Portofino/Camogli spoke little to no English. Not a major problem but not as advertised.
Palazzo Bandino – Like many of your other reviewers we loved this place spending four nights. We were able to relax a little and tour local hill towns at our own pace. You need a car here but it is a short drive to many of the hill towns in southern Tuscany. Can't say enough good about Marta who goes out of her way to make sure your stay is comfortable and all your needs are met. The spa was a tremendous bonus as we got to use it on two of the days - what a way to relax after touring all day! We had dinner three of the four nights allowing us to get a taste of true Tuscan cooking - simple but delicious at a reasonable price, not to mention the free flowing wine produced by Palazzo Bandino.
Fiumicino Airport Hotel – this proved to be another excellent recommendation by In Italy for our last night prior to flying home the next morning. A very modern hotel with a nice atmosphere conveniently located very near the airport. The restaurant was excellent for dinner and the breakfast more than adequate.

Please post the following on your InItaly site. Thank you very much for all of your help.
My wife and I recently took a trip to Italy in early May. We had been planning our trip for quite some time and had heard that InItaly.com was a valuable resource. Our intent was to spend time in Venice, Tuscany, and Rome. We read the various lodging recommendations offered by InItaly.com and made our decisions based upon the ones that sounded the most appealing to us. We also used the airport transfer service located in Rome that was recommended on InItaly.com. We are pleased to say that all the accommodations met or exceeded our expectations. The hosts at every location were very friendly, informative and extremely hospitable. The rooms were clean and close attention was paid to every detail. The driver for the transfer service was first class. He was not only a good driver, but he also made sure to point out the historical points of interest along the way. We had many questions and he did his very best to answer every one. We had a great time in Italy and we are already planning another trip for next year. We will definitely consult with InItaly.com again, because we truly believe our experience was so wonderful due to the advice and recommendations they provided. We highly recommend that anyone planning a trip to Italy get in contact with the professional and courteous folks at InItaly.com.
We booked two tours through your company, a Private Half-Day Tour of Pompeii, and a Private Full-Day Tour of Ancient Rome and the Vatican.
We are so absolutely thrilled with the experience and would highly recommend your company to anyone we know travelling to Italy. Our guide Andrea, in Pompeii, was funny and knowledgeable. He was able to answer all of questions and give us as much time as we needed walking through. It was a great tour.
Our guide Viviana in Rome was a pure pleasure. She has a PhD in Archeology and she was actually worked on the digs at the sites we visited. Her love of her job, her country and the history is very evident. She was extremely knowledgeable, and we learned so much at every stop. Consider yourself very fortunate if you end up with her as your guide. It was a long day but you didn't even know it.
These two private tours set the tone for our trip and they were the best. If we go to Italy again we will definitely contact your company for tours.
My friend Cathy & I just returned from our Italy trip. I did not want to let too much time pass before writing you a thank you note for all your help & advice on where to stay on our trip. Usually Cathy & I do all the research ourselves on where to go and what to do, but in this case, we both were working so much we really did not have the time to do our normal research. Because of this time crunch, your help was invaluable to us and we really appreciated your recommendations.
You were so right about the Best Western in Genoa. It was well located, clean, convenient and had a great breakfast buffet! It was a perfect place for us to stay the one night and get on 'Italian time' before beginning our journey.
You made a fantastic recommendation when you said we should travel to Rapallo and I can not say enough good things about the Hotel Astoria! We were so well treated by Sarah, Alessandro, Paulo & the staff, we almost did not want to leave for our next destination! We had the most beautiful room overlooking the water. It was quite easy to make our way from the hotel to Portofino, Santa Margarita & Camogi.
We reluctantly left our new friends at Hotel Astoria and headed to Vernazza. Sarah had called ahead for us and Alessandra met us at the train station and escorted us to our apartment. We certainly appreciated her efforts as we would have never located the apartment on our own. The location in the heart of Vernazza was fantastic. We very much enjoyed staying in this charming town. The apartment was OK, but needs some work. The beds were quite worn out and uncomfortable, and should be replaced. I only mention this for your FYI so you can take that in to account with your future recommendations.
After spending 3 days exploring the Cinque Terre we moved on to Lerici. Thank you so much for this suggestion! We absolutely fell in love with Lerici and the Seaside Hotel! 2 days was not enough! We will definitely go back there some day. Valentina is the most delightful hotel owner and hostess! We enjoyed talking to her and she gave us great recommendations for dinner. She also gave us the best room in the house in our opinion! This is such a charming hotel in an absolutely perfect location!!! I would have never known to stay here if you had not recommended it. It was one of the many highlights of our trip.
Reluctantly we returned to Genoa from Lerici to get ready to fly home on June 5th. The NH Marina was our hotel and while it was a nice large clean room, I have to say that I really liked the Best Western better - I think because it was smaller and the staff much more personable. Based on our experience with Best Western in Italy, I would not hesitate to make reservations in their hotels in the future, again thanks to your suggestion to stay there.
Kristin, thank you so much for making our trip so easy to plan, your advice, tips, and recommendation were so helpful, I would happily tell any of my traveling friends that In Italy is the place to start when planning their trip!
All the best to you,
You assisted my friend Susan in planning our trip to the Ligurian coast and I know she sent you an email thanking you but I personally wanted to follow up with you to thank you as well. With our busy schedules, we didn’t have the luxury of time in planning our trip but knew we wanted to see Portofino, Camogli as well as Cinque Terre. Your suggested itinerary and hotel recommendations were perfect.
I was surprised at the quality of the Best Western City in Genoa that you recommended-you were right that the international Best Westerns are a cut above our domestic hotels-we loved it and with the location, we were only blocks away from the historic old town and waterfront. Hotel Astoria in Rapallo was perfect! Sara and her husband Alessandro (owners) as well as Paolo the manager were so warm and welcoming and upgraded us to a seafront room. Rapallo was an excellent choice as a home base from which to explore Portofino, Camogli as well as savor the beauty of Rapallo. Easy transfer via train to Cinque Terre where we explored the coast. We stayed at the 2 bedroom apartment at La Perla delle 5 Terre in Vernazza which was a great location but up quite a few flights of stairs (which we never would have found on our own so glad Sara from Hotel Astoria called in advance and they agreed to meet us at the train station). It gave us a real feel for Italian living but only when the swarms of tourist crowds were gone which was the quiet mornings and evenings. You were right that it’s packed full of tourists and because we waited so long to book Vernazza where there is so few accommodations, we were the ones who chose this location. Hindsight-I would have followed your advice to stay outside of CT or even stay in Monterosso which is bigger with more accommodations options. But the charm and quaintness of Vernazza was memorable.
After all the crowds, it was wonderful to end our vacation in Lerici. What a gem of a location!!!! We absolutely loved it here and can’t thank you enough in recommending this. The Seaside Hotel was outstanding-we were upgraded to an oceanfront room on an upper floor by Valentina (the owner)-we didn’t want to leave our room when we first checked in as the view was so beautiful. It was 10 minutes walk to Lerici and less than 10 minutes to San Terenzo on the other side of the hotel-all along the relaxing seaside promenade. I loved that there were no other tourists except for a few local Italians. It was our little oasis after 8 busy days of travel. We didn’t want to leave Lerici. I have decided when I retire, I want to rent an apartment there for the summer!
Thank you Kristin for your helping us make our Italian Riviera vacation we had dreamed about for so long a reality. Your recommendations for accommodations, restaurants and sights to see took the work out of it for us and made it easy. You were right on in your suggestions and we greatly appreciate it. Thank you again for all you did for us. We have memories of a lifetime-thanks to you!
Yes, you are right ....Italy was fascinating and wonderful! Both private tours were great and what was surprising was the fact that we were picked up in Mercedes Benz! So not only were the tours great, but we went in style. Both drivers that picked us up were at our hotels prior to the time scheduled and that made me feel comfortable because the tour vouchers informed us not to have a third party caller contact the tour company. I was afraid my cell phone wouldn't work in Italy, but I had no problems...
I booked two travels via train and had two different companies. I was very impressed with Italo which I believe is a very new train company. The trains themselves were gorgeous! So new and with just a touch of a button the glass doors dividing the different coaches would open. The train attendants came by with newspapers and coffee too.
Thanks again for arranging our tours, we had a wonderful time and had many memories to share.
P.S. We had the tour guides singing with us while driving us back!
Thanks for your guidance. The trip was great, and almost everything worked out well. The clutch burned out near Sorrento on our first vehicle, but Hertz was great about coming to tow the car and get us a replacement. My brother lost his wallet to pickpockets at the entrance to the Palatine Hill -- even veteran travelers can fall victim to those pros, who know how to create a disturbance and then take advantage.
The apartment at Trastevere Antica was roomy, charming, and well equipped. The only downside is that it is noisy due to the late night street life. That was a fair trade off for us, because we like to be near the action, but it could be a problem for light sleepers who are less tolerant of youthful exuberance expressed in loud Italian.
The Hotel La Vue d'Or in the hills above Sorrento was good. The shuttle into town was an especially nice feature. The breakfast room is cheery with great views, but the food could have been better. We didn't eat at the restaurant. It was, however, unseasonably cool and windy, so the balcony wasn't much use.
Lerici Seaside Hotel was good on all accounts except that as in Sorrento it was cool and windy. Make sure that your clients know that the walkway that links the Cinque Terre villages is still washed out (as of May, 2013). We had planned to park at the south and walk, but since that didn't work, we drove from village-to-village, parked, and walked down. I wouldn't recommend that approach -- the train would probably be better until the path is fully repaired.
The Villa Aurora on Lake Como is great. The location is fantastic, and the room was nice. The staff was open and friendly (except for the skier husband, who is efficient but cool.) We rented a boat and had great fun sailing by George Clooney's place. We also took the ferry to a couple of villas and to Bellagio.
Our biggest disappointment was in Venice at the Hotel Belle Epoque. The location is convenient (if a bit busy) and the lobby is pleasant. Breakfast was good, but the serving area was cramped. The rooms were adequate but in sore need of more careful attention -- eg. missing smoke detector, broken pieces on the chandelier, cob webs in the drapes, etc. Even by Venice standards, I think that the rooms were overpriced for the level of quality and service. The main problem was that the staff was uncaring and cool to the point of being rude and indifferent. For example, they didn't greet guests and they came and went; when I asked a clerk to book a musical event for me, he acted as if my request were an imposition on him even though it was a poster in their own lobby that brought the event to our attention. The one exception to staff indifference was the young woman with a speech impediment who worked in the breakfast room -- she was helpful and cheery.
One recommendation if you have clients wanting to go to Bologna. We booked one night at the Best Western City Hotel. It was just outside the restricted driving area and parking was free, so it was ideal for a quick one night. We walked to the central city and took a short taxi ride back.
Thanks again, and I will recommend InItaly to friends who travel to Italy in the future.
Our trip was perfect and all the arrangements we made through your company were flawless. The lodging we chose with your help was great, particularly B&B Emozioni Fiorentine, Palazzo Montefusco, and Castello Di Monterone. Our guide for the Ufizzi Gallery tour could not have been more knowledgeable and pleasant to be with. We are so thankful that we decided to work with InItaly. You made our trip something we will never forget and we are already looking forward to working with you for the next trip.
We had a wonderful time at the wine tasting. We enjoyed the hospitality of the two gentlemen who ran the enoteca, the snacks and some very delicious wines! My daughter in law also mentioned that we were treated to most generous "pours"!
Have been back now for several weeks and just want to let you know that, thanks to In Italy, the trip with my granddaughter was a great success. The private walks were certainly highlights for both of us.
The transfers to and from the airports in Rome and Venice went like clockwork and especially appreciated in Rome after our long flight from San Francisco. We loved the location and everything else about the Relais Maddalena which felt like our ‘home in Rome’. The room was spacious and clean, the breakfasts good in a sunny room overlooking the square, and the staff friendly and helpful in every way. On our arrival we were warmly greeted by Francesco who was an amazing source of helpful information, including some good local restaurants, and Barbara’s personality brightened every day. The semi-private tours were excellent – especially the Coliseum and Forum which turned out to be a private tour as no one else had booked for that day and Georgia’s knowledge made both come to life. The private walk with Guido was also excellent – his historical and artistic background so extensive. Really enjoyed the concert by Roma Opera Omnia at St. Agnes in Agony in Piazza Navonna – lovely music and a good history of the church in English.
The transfer Rome-Assisi-Florence was fine and Massimiliano a good driver. Unfortunately, in Assisi I asked him when he wanted to pick us up and he suggested in 2 hours, which really wasn’t long enough. I should have just requested that he give us another hour and a half.
In Florence we enjoyed the Tornabuoni Beacci - the location was ideal, the room spacious and clean, the rooftop terrace a delight and the staff unfailingly helpful and obliging. Elisabeth was a fantastic guide for our two private walks in Florence, knowledgeable, personally delightful and enthusiastic. Her insights into the history of the city, the artisan quarter over the Arno and general information provided a great introduction for my granddaughter. She also had some good restaurant recommendations and we both enjoyed the delicious, ginormous Florentine steaks at Mama Gina’s. We also took a taxi to Fiesole for a special dinner at Villa San Michele – wonderful food and magnificent view. It was easy to arrange the train tickets to Venice – the hotel suggested going to the booking office just a few blocks away.
The location of Palace Bonvecchiati, midway between San Marco and the Rialto, was very convenient. The room and its amenities were more up-to-date than the other 2 hotels, the breakfast was more extensive, the staff very helpful in every way – other than no free Wifi didn’t have any of the complaints that some have made online. They made a booking for us at the Bistrot de Venise, just across the street from the hotel, and also suggested the small Trattoria da Arturo. They both were among the best meals of the trip – the first very fine and imaginative cuisine and the second local specialties to perfection. The private tour with Elena was marvelous – she communicates well her knowledge of and love for her city, and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the 3 hours exploring and learning about Venice. After the wonderful private walks you offer, the group tours in Venice were a bit of a letdown – all good but not as well organised as might be hoped and with some delays. In fact, our Grand Canal boat tour booked was cancelled and we were asked to come back an hour later. Another tourist with tickets (from another company) was also told his tour that morning wasn’t on and to come back at 5:30.
Even though I’ve been to Italy many, many times, it wouldn’t have been possible for me to plan such a trip without the background knowledge, advice and arrangements offered by In Italy.com. You never failed to answer questions or offer helpful suggestions or alternatives. In other words, invaluable. So many, many thanks to you all for making our trip so smooth, enjoyable and special.
I would like to time a moment to thank In Italy Online for assisting with a trip that I took with my wife. I had already planned many aspects of my trip before I originally reached out to you for some advice. Although we had an AMAZING trip, I believe I would benefited more if I found you sooner. You mention on your web site that your goal is "to share my passion for Italy". This is the absolute truth. In this day of big corporations and profit driven motives, it's refreshing to work with someone who provides information based on logical affordable options rather than making money. You truly provide insight as to what to expect and a thorough knowledge of how things work in Italy.
We saw Milan, Florence, Tuscany, Rome, Amalfi, and Naples. We feel like we were able to experience Italy to the fullest and look forward to a return. I originally planned to use a rental car for 10 days. Two of those days would have been in Rome. You recommended that we instead turn the car in when I get to Rome and rent a different one when we leave. At first I thought "this seems complicated". However, that was GREAT advice. Driving in Rome is more challenging than I could have ever imagined. NYC is easier than Rome, and that is not a joke. We saved money as we would have had to pay 45 Euro a day at our hotel for them to park the car. When I did run into a problem with the rental car, you were there for me again. You helped me get a refund for an erroneous charge. I would have not been able to get that refund without your help. The rental car company was not willing to help until you became involved and they reimbursed me for being associated with you. My wife and I can't thank you enough.
I work in a large hospital with many associates. I will be recommending your services to everyone I tell about my trip. And, of course, we will be returning to Italy and we will be calling on you when we do. Thank you for helping us plan such a wonderful Italian vacation.
Your loyal customer,
Robert & Mandy R.
I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that my trip to Italy was great, thanks to your suggestions. All of the hotels were wonderful. My family and I really enjoyed
them. All of your suggestions were spot on, especially the car rental in Rome for a few days as opposed to taking trains. We especially loved the Aquavenice B&B! I will heartily recommend your services to anyone I know that may be traveling to Italy.
My son and I had the most wonderful time in Italy, and I thank you sincerely for your help arranging this adventure. The accommodations you found for us were perfect, and their proprietors were welcoming and helpful. Your guidance was spot on for our itinerary, and we appreciate that you were quick and professional with all our correspondence. We are lucky our friends recommended you to us, and we will certainly recommend you to anyone we know planning a trip to Italy.
I wanted to thank you for all the help you provided in planning our trip. Everything was perfect, but for the heat wave that hit Rome the week we were there.
Throughout the trip, my family was amazed at how well organized everything was. Every time, I replied, "Well, Jessica said . . . or Jessica recommended." Our apartments in Venice, Florence, Rome, and Sorrento were wonderful. Very clean, well-located, and helpful owners or staff. Our hotels in Lucca, Rapallo, and Baselga di Pine were exceptional. Great accommodations and exceptional managers and staff. My only hesitancy in recommendations was with La Locanda di Orsaria in Venice, where we stayed for our last night before catching our plane home. It's perfectly fine for what we did (one night), but so-so for any longer stay.
All the tours that you arranged were also exceptional, especially Nicholas for the all-day Tuscany Tour. What a character! His passion for and knowledge of Florence and Tuscany entertained throughout the day; and the farm lunch truly made us feel like we were "Under the Tuscan Sun." Additionally, the guides we had for the Vatican and Pompeii were extremely well-informed and delightful. And all the drivers were on time and very professional.
We all loved the Italian trains -- indeed much more than the crazy Italian driving we experienced in the Dolomites. Personally, I would recommend the trains to other travelers because they are extremely efficient and clean, typically cost much less than a rental car, eliminate parking problems, and let you relax and enjoy the Italian countryside. In fact, we enjoyed our train travel so much that when we had to jump on a small regional train in Verona with only a minute to spare and questioned whether it was the right one or not, we just laughed and figured that we would know in a stop or two and could pop back on the right one.
Anyway, Jessica, I cannot thank you enough for helping me plan our family trip of a lifetime -- all 5 members of my family in Italy for 5 weeks. It would not have gone as smoothly or have been as enjoyable without your guidance. Please also thank Kristin in arranging the rental and in responding to our emails when you were not available.
I simply cannot tell you how wonderful the trip was. And cannot thank you enough for all your help and great suggestions. Please feel free to use anything I say here on your website. The trip would not have been anywhere as great as it was if not for you. We wound up rearranging my entire schedule but not only saw everything we intended but so much more. All the hotels were wonderful including the one in Lucca which was inside the city walls. Quite an adventure to drive to. The cars worked out just fine. And Palazzo Bandino was beyond perfect. The cooking lesson was unbelievable as was the spa. We toured everywhere and saw everything we wanted and more. I will try and recap the trip so excuse me if I ramble a bit.
Venice was wonderful and our friends had such a great time there. We toured everywhere had some great meals. We went to Murano and Burano which was spectacular. We used the vaporetto and did manage to take a gondola ride. We saw the flooding after we got home and are thankful it did not happen while we were there. Seems like it really was bad from the pictures on the Internet.
We saw cities we never heard of like Chuisi and San Quirico, as well as Volterra and San Gimignano, Siena, Assisi, Bagno Vignone (the springs) and Pienza. Sant'Antimo was so beautiful for its simplicity. The Emilia-Romagna food tour you organized for us was amazing. We loved every aspect of it and the lunch, which I was worried about, was unbelievable and enough to feed an army. Parma was amazing. We bought a ton of balsamic vinegar at the factory. And the castle was equally amazing. It couldn't have been a better day. The guide (Michelle) was exceptional.
The cheese factory outside Soranga was also wonderful and they were quite gracious in showing us all they made there. Ravenna was wonderful as was Bologna and Modena.
We went to an olive oil farm that is part of Palazzo Bandino and bought very fresh oil while there. A few evenings we shopped at the supermarket and prepared diner at the apartment as we had eaten so much for breakfast and lunch we simply couldn't eat dinner out. Ostia Antica was a perfect last day and was another amazing thing to see. We would recommend it over Pompei any day.
Anyway sorry I was all over the place. If you ever come to New York we would love to meet you and show you some of our great city.
My sincere apologies for taking so long to get back to you about our trip to Italy. In one word it was FANTASTIC!!
Everything you planned for us went off without a hitch. The tours were great. Some of our tours were large groups on tour buses, some were smaller in a minivan and one was even private, just Shari and I and the driver. Each one was good in its own way and it was fun to experience all the different types.
We based in Florence using the Hotel Rapallo and we have nothing but raves for it. The owners and staff bent over backwards to make us feel welcome and really like family. The location was great...we walked everywhere. Our room was very clean as was everything in the hotel. The bedroom itself was a bit small but the bathrooms were more than adequate. Everything functioned like it should. The breakfast room was beautiful and the food offerings were delicious and abundant. There was a very sweet girl that worked the breakfast room (I'm sorry but I don't remember her name) and she was a delight. She greeted us warmly each morning and even remembered what we liked. We spent a couple evenings chatting with the owners who were also delightful. They were so warm and welcoming, made us feel like old friends.
Our 3 day stay at Palazzo Bandino was absolute heaven. I cannot say enough good things about Marta. A couple days before we were scheduled to arrive we decided to cancel our rental car and take the train. Marta was very concerned that we would not be able to get around but I assured her that we really just wanted to stay at the resort and enjoy their spa and cooking classes. We were at the end of a very busy month long trip and really just wanted to relax. When we got off the train it was pouring down rain and we were a bit concerned about finding a taxi. To our surprise and delight we were met at the stairs by Marta's father who had driven to the train station to pick us up. Once we got to the Palazzo, Marta greeted us and had the table set with platters of meats, cheeses, bread and wine and invited us to take our time and enjoy the repast. After about an hour of enjoying our feast she then took us to our room. Since we arrived without a car she was worried about us and had upgraded us to one of their beautiful apartments which included a kitchen, living area, bath and bedroom and the best part a balcony deck that overlooked the gorgeous hillside. We were overwhelmed to say the least. While we were there we used their onsite spa which was amazing. We also took 2 days of cooking classes with Luciano which were delightful. One day Marta even drove us over to the village and dropped us off so we could wander around. We loved sharing dinner in the evenings with other visitors. It was the perfect way to end our trip.
I would be happy to go into more detail on any of excursions if you would like. I think my favorite city was San Gimignano. The winery tours were fantastic and I would highly recommend to anyone to make sure you do one that includes lunch. The local food was delicious and the wines were wonderful.
I am so happy that we found your website. You all were a delight to work with and everything you helped us choose was just perfect. We have recommended you to everyone we know that is planning a trip to Italy.

Dear Kristin and Jessica,
The hotels: all were really wonderful and in excellent locations. Locanda Colosseo was a fantastic place to start, and Riccardo couldn't have been more helpful or proud of his hotel. He offered us detailed info on Rome - where to go, what to see, how to get there, etc. He also gave us a bottle of sparkling wine - a very nice touch. We really enjoyed the room and the close proximity to the Coliseum. Hotel Collodi in Florence was an excellent location. The staff was quite friendly, but didn't seem overly knowledgable on Florence. The room was a little dusty, but all in, still very nice. You couldn't beat the location! Hotel Monte Sarago was a real gem! We had the best view of Ostuni that you could possibly get: room 406. The staff was wonderful, and the facility was first rate. Nicoletta was particularly helpful. It was easy to park the car as well, and we could simply walk into town each night from our room. Raffaello Charmsuite was quite nice in a wonderful location. We were a bit late, and the staff kindly waited for our arrival. We were only in the room for a short time, but a great setup and nice to be in a different part of Rome for the last night.
Rome: we loved Rome, and Dennis was a fantastic guide. He was accommodating, genuinely interested in us and Rome, and gave us great insight into the city. We adored Rome. I highly recommend Baffetto for pizza and Hostaria La Botticella in Trastevere.
Florence: we liked Florence, but not as much as Rome. We did eat extremely well in Florence! You suggested lunch in the market, and we enjoyed it. I highly recommend Nerbone (and just grazing about) in the Central Market for lunch as well. It was exceptional. Casalinga was also a fine dinner - one of the best we had in Italy. Elizabeth was a wonderful guide, too. She gave us a great view of Florence and really wanted us to have a fantastic experience.
Ostuni: what an amazing place. We were truly in awe, and you were right about Puglia - no tourists. We enjoyed the contrast from busy, tourist filled cities to quiet Ostuni. We felt all alone! I highly recommend staying in Ostuni and seeing Lecce. Polignano a Mare and Trani were gems as well. Make sure folks drive the back roads and get off the autostrada. The entire Puglia experience gave us a great feel for real Italian life - and we actually liked struggling through with my limited Italian! We truly enjoyed the contrast from Rome and Florence. The car we rented in Bari was great!
An exceptional trip. Thank you for your help! We want to go back in 5 years!
We had a grand time and everything, absolutely everything, went extremely well. Our accommodations were exactly as described, and met our expectations perfectly. We had debated (just a little bit) about "all our eggs in one basket with In Italy", but the concerns were absolutely unfounded. Your recommendations, and the various staff at the apartments/hotels were spot on. Each was very clean, modern, in close proximity to what we wanted, and exactly as you described. We couldn't have been happier! :) :) We'll be going again, and will certainly use your services!
Before my trip to Italy I stumbled upon the In Italy web site. I was reticent to put so much trust into an agency that was just an online connection. I am pretty particular in my tastes and have traveled a lot so I can be easily disappointed if my experience is not authentic or in some way "cheesy". As I began to make inquiries with In Italy I found their feedback really candid and intelligent--my trust increased. They steered me away from some things when they could have easily just made a booking. On the basis of our emails I felt comfortable to book 2 apartments and two tours through InItaly, but still was slightly worried that I was entrusting a big part of the "success" of our trip with total strangers. Also, it was difficult to get reviews and recommendations online for their services except for the quotes they themselves placed on their own site. Having now taken my vacation, I wanted to take the time to help others that are in my same place and say that everything In Italy promised was delivered as described and that their advice was correct across the board. I wasted a lot of time doing internet research before the trip because the materials they provided and advice they gave exceeded any guidebook, other internet information I found, and was only matched by conversations with locals once I was there. Thank you and great job InItaly!

We have just returned from our five-week trip to Europe and Israel and the UK. I now want to thank you formally for all of the labours that you put in to make our stay in Italy so pleasant. We could not have had as successful an "adventour" without your guidance. Your choice of centrally located boutique hotels was right on in every case. You are truly an amazing person and a great asset to the traveling community, who are in need of your counseling.
I will now go into a little detail for your records:
Trains: All were great. But you were right. No carts or porters. What a terrible system!!!!!!!! We were, however, very lucky to be able to access a few illegal porters and all the people on our trains were most helpful.
The hotels that you booked for us were all 110%. All hotels provided us with an upgrade! Also FYI all hotels have bathrobes and slippers, and Wi-Fi free or for a very small fee.
Hotel Gran Duca Di York, Milan. What a gem. Great place and very good help. Location was perfect!
La Palma, Stresa. Truly a 6* hotel. Location, rooms and staff were all tops. Great spa! We took the meal plan and it worked out well. Took the train to Locarno. Very interesting trip. Unfortunately we had to take the train back as the season for the boat was closed.
Florentine Palazzo, Florence. Truly, as you had told me, probably the very best of the lot. And a great location and wonderful staff.
Hotel Antiche Mura, Sorrento. Was truly the right choice and also great location. Received a magnificent upgrade.
Malpensa Airport Hotel. Perfect for our overnight stay. We actually took a taxi into the nearest town. What a pleasant experience.
Again thanks for job very well done. We could not have managed without your great help. Continued success, and feel free to give our email address out to anyone who would like a personal reply about your services!
We had a great trip to Italy. In the area of planning, now that the trip is over, I can say that In Italy does a great job of pre-selecting places to stay and taking the busy work out of planning the trip. All the hotels we stayed at, as picked from your recommended lists, were great. My biggest regret was not finding In Italy sooner as I think I spent about 20 hours searching for hotels and ideas prior to finding the site, and only about 5 hours planning the WHOLE trip, including confirmations and research of things to do, once In Italy was in front of me. In Italy does a good of documenting the pre-trip info you'll want to take with you about getting around, how to get between places, and small tips for various locations, I only wish I had printed more of it for easy reference while we were en route or changing cities. All in all it was the best family trip we have taken. I know we will go back to Italy, exactly where I am not quite sure where, but I do know that In Italy is firmly in my favorites folder and only a click away next time we start planning.
Thanks again and all the best,
Just to let you know that we are now home safe and sound and had a wonderful trip to Italy. Thanks for all your help. All the places we booked were great..and all were different. In particular I loved Como...and my wife loved Sorrento. We will go back to Italy in a few years and will be in touch then. Meanwhile I continue to recommend use of In Italy to my friends.
All the best
We had a superb time in Italy, just returning last evening through JFK (probably the worst part of the trip. That customs line is endless!). Our Wine, Truffles & Castles in Piedmont guide and interpreter were great. We even got to taste truffles and local cheese (from Ermano, our truffle man) and local meats (provided by Livia at the vineyard) with our wine tasting. The tour of Barolo and LaMorra with Stefano was superb, and he was an excellent guide – very knowledgeable. The two vineyards were wonderful, and dinner at Trisobbio was excellent! Giampaolo and Rita both made our stay there memorable. An amazing experience that turned out just fine in the end.
Turin was lovely, and Grand Hotel Sitea was VERY nice. Great walking city, fabulous museums (Cinema and Automobile). Stresa was gorgeous. We were disappointed that the Trenino Blu does not run on Monday or Tuesday at this time of year, so we were unable to take advantage of that, but because we had the car, we spent the day driving to Locarno, and around the lake. A lovely day, with stops in the little towns along the way. Had lunch at Restaurant Funicolare in the mountain area near Locarno – an amazing view of the Alps and lake.
Thank you for another wonderful vacation in Italy.
Good day Kristin.
The trip was fantastic, all your suggestions were right on. The tours and rooms were fantastic. Thanks for everything!!!! Will be calling you in the next couple of months to book are trip from Rome south.
Gord and Kim M.
We have returned from a wonderful experience in Italy. We were on your Four-Day Highlights of Tuscany and also a one night stay at Hotel Santa Caterina in Siena. Our stay in Tuscany was even more than we have hoped for. Our hostess, Valeria, was ever so gracious and we so enjoyed our stay with her and her cooking lesson on our last night. We enjoyed our guide Manuele, he made the Tuscany experience a most enjoyable one and one that we will never forget. Our stay at the Hotel Santa Caterina was very pleasant and a restful way to end our trip. Thank you for all your help with our planning of a lifetime of memories. We will be referring all our family and friends your way.
Jodi and Chris H.
We arrived home Tuesday night after a trip that was amazing in every way. All the planning and attention to detail paid off, and your expertise lead us to some really terrific places to stay. You were so right to insist on us staying at the Villa dei Platani and using it as our home base for our time in Central Umbria for many significant reasons. I am planning to do the hotel reviews as soon as I have a chance and to fill you in on more about our trip after that. Just wanted to let you know we made it and to thank you so much for all of your time and expertise.
Ciao for now,
We must thank you for all of your assistance. Our trip has been perfect. Every accommodation superb. The tours fantastic. Once again In Italy has gone above and beyond. Our heartfelt thanks.
Rob & Andrea B.
I returned last night from a fabulous time in Italy. Thank you for helping me with my plans. Maison Giulia was so close to many sights. Angela and the two Alessandros were wonderful as were all the staff I met there. Their breakfasts are fabulous. I expected maybe coffee and a brioche but they had so much more. I absolutely love Italy. Also had a fabulous tour guide, Dennis Cigler.
Just a quick note to say what a great time we had and how wonderful all of the accommodations were. One of the semi-private tours that you arranged in Rome (of the Coliseum) had an amazing tour guide who just happened to have tickets for an audience with the Pope that he gave us for the following day. What a nice surprise! Everything was smooth that you arranged for us and we look forward to our return to Italy in a few years. We highly recommend your company whenever someone asks about our trip. You made everything very easy to plan the trip. Thanks again!

The trip is what I thought (busy). Tours that In Italy Online provides were worth the money. All the tours were outstanding. There were some high points and low points.
- accommodations in all the destinations were good except for Rome.
- the hosts were great except for the San Gimignano. Could have been better. (Being lost to get there didn't help)
- tours where awesome. The guides' knowledge and friendly warm personalities made the tours fun. Very informative.
- food, great as usual
- punctuality was amazing for the car pickups/guides.
- Campo de' Fiori in Rome: laundry system, showers/washrooms poor in the apartment. Nice layout, but would not recommend this apartment for the money we spent. Italy has changed where everything depends on money (even paying for public bathrooms)
Overall great trip, for the few lows we encountered, it didn't effect the rest of the trip. Orvieto, Great hill top town, great shops, San Gimignano great shops/town, Siena, Chianciano terme, Montepulciano, Lago Bolsena, Verona, Venice, were some of our favourites. Overall, your information which you provided made our trip quite thorough which made our itinerary quite easy. Thank you. As you may know, this is not the case in Italy. We did venture off the beaten path and discovered some great restaurants told to us by the locals. Our whole family enjoyed the trip and will never forget it. I will let my friends know about In Italy Online, if they are travelling overseas.
I thank you once again for the great work you did for us to make our trip a memorable one. It was really easy.
Best regards to you and the staff,
I just wanted to touch base with you on our trip. We had a wonderful trip/experience, and a lot due in part to your help and guidance. All the drivers we had scheduled with you were there, on-time and awaiting us. The hotel recommendations you gave us were great, (especially Four Rivers in Rome!). Our guide for the Capri trip was fabulous All our friends and relatives we tell of our trip, I reference your website, and recommend it highly if they are ever contemplating visiting Italy. As I mentioned early on, this is our second time in having you help us to go to Italy, and hopefully down the road we will return again. Thank you for all your help, guidance, and patience in working with me. I couldn't have done it without you.
Dear Kirill and staff,
We recently returned from our 2 week trip in Italy and want to THANK YOU for making it so wonderful! The four of us had a perfectly marvelous time, and so much of it was thanks to your planning. Every accommodation was right in the middle of where we wanted to be and definitely not "some boring old hotel chain". Our hosts were more than generous with their hospitality and making us feel right at home. We plan on revisiting them as soon as possible!!
Thank you for arranging our tour guides. Ava, Paulo (in Rome) and Elizabeth (Florence) were delightful. They answered all our questions and really tailored their tours to our interests. We would have missed many highlights without their help.
The only thing we would have changed would have been to add another week or two - or a month even!! But I guess there is always a limit, at least to luggage space. We will highly recommend your site and service to others. As a matter of fact, we are meeting with some friends tonight who hope to travel next year.
This is by far the best way to explore Italy. We had some structure and guidance, but were free to make our own choices as the weather and our interests allowed. Hope to work again with you soon!
John and Marlene G.
Our trip to Italy was magical. It was everything we hoped it would be. We have had fun reliving our experiences as we share our photos and stories with family and friends.
All of the hotels you recommended were fabulous. The staff at each different location went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and cared for. We especially loved the whole experience of our stay at Palazzo Bandino. The cooking class was so fun and added to our whole experience of staying at an Agriturismo. We also loved Lerici Seaside Hotel -- it was a beautiful room and location.
Our guide for the Vatican was outstanding and the whole experience of that tour was made more perfect by having it a semi-private tour. We are so happy you suggested that experience. Our guide for the Coliseum also did a great job despite the fact that we were not able to actually tour inside the Coliseum that day due to a public transit strike.
A highlight of our time in Rome would definitely be the dinner with the Italian family in their home. We would strongly suggest this tour for travelers to Rome. Cecilia, her husband and her brother showed us the best time. The dinner they cooked for us was one of the most delicious on our whole trip. Speaking of food, we never had a bad meal anywhere!
We saw and did everything we hoped we would while in Italy. For the most part everything was so organized based on all your suggestions and recommendations. We got lost a few times of course but knew that was to be expected and only added to the experience!
Overall, we had a fabulous trip and we would recommend your travel site In Italy to anyone. You were a huge help!
Until our next trip,
Cindy and Pete W.
This is just a note to say a big "THANK YOU!" for your recommendations on where to stay during our first ever trip to Italy. We loved each and every place and could not get over the great value too! You saved me hours and hours of research time. Our trip was a great success and we can't wait to go back again and see even more of this beautiful country. I mentioned InItaly.com in my bookings.com reviews.
Juliet, Kat and Steve C.
We want to Thank You so much for all your help in making our Italy trip one of the best!! Your recommendations for Hotels and Tours worked out wonderfully. We used many of your recommendations from restaurants, towns to see, what to do and not do, etc. The town of Lerici was magical and Marta and her staff made the entire Tuscany visit amazing from Palazzo Bandino. We have recommended you highly to all we know.
Sandy & Bob L.
Kristin--Buon giorno :-)
What a wonderful trip we had!!! We LOVED Italy--the people, food, sights, accommodations, etc. It was really an experience of a lifetime. You were an excellent source of information. One that we will recommend over and over again!!!
It's hard to pick a favorite place or thing. I think my husband and I really loved Lerici and Tuscany the best! The view from our room at Lerici Seaside Hotel was out of this world, and Marta and her "crew" at the Palazzo Bandino were exceptional. We can't thank you enough for your advice.
Again, let me reiterate what a wonderful time we had. My husband and I dreamed of this for a very long time, and the experience more than met our anticipation!!! Grazie!!!!!
Have a wonderful day!
My husband and I want to THANK YOU for showing us such a glorious time in Italy for the last two weeks. You made our “dream trip” for us something we will never forget. We can't thank you enough for all the help and advice that you had either given to us or made for us in advance. It was more than we had even pictured and we pinched ourselves every day when we were there. The only sad part was when we had to leave. If we could have extended it for one more week, it would have been even more wonderful.
I'm sure you have heard from the other couples in our group so I won't reiterate anything that they had said to you. All of our wonderful times and just a couple snags. But the positive definitely out weighs any little negatives.
I hope someday we will be able to do something like this again somewhere else, of course, in Europe. Grazie, grazie, grazie and thank you in all languages for the beautiful memories that we have stored in our minds and hearts from this incredible trip. You were so awesome and courteous to us all with your vast experience/knowledge and information. You will be highly recommended to anyone travelling who wants our advice. God bless you and have a wonderful day.
Thank you once again,
Paul and Linda F.
Dear Gang at Italy Online:
You asked for my comments - to sum it up - a BIG GIANT THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Generally, thanks to your frequent recommendations and trading of emails back and forth our trip was fantastic and the logistics an accommodations were superb. I never could have planned this myself, and I never believed each place I stayed in could be almost exactly what I what I expected and wanted. Also, the instruction documents you included with each location we stayed at was EXTREMELY helpful and on the mark. It gave us great instructions on how to get to each location from the airport or train station, and the contact numbers included were helpful- and the contact ALWAYS answered immediately. To any future users of In Italy - trust these guys, they know exactly what they are doing. Not only did they help pick the right places to stay, but how many days to stay in each city, the order of cities to travel to, etc.
Everything went like clockwork. The places we stayed were excellent especially in Sorrento and Tuscany. The guides were exceptional. All in all a flawless trip.
I have to say, I have never experienced such wonderful customer service as I have with you and In Italy. Everyone has been on top of things and so accommodating with all of my requests. Please pass along my compliments to your management. At my office, we stress "Ritz Carlton, white-glove" service for all of our clients. You have definitely raised the bar as far as client service goes. Thanks and have a great day.
What a wonderful trip we had!!!!!! I thank you completely for all the arrangements you helped me to make to create a memorable and perfect vacation for Joe & I and for our entire group of 21 people. Everything went so smoothly for our entire three week stay, including all the transfers from location to location. Our accommodations were just right everywhere we went, and Palazzo Bandino was just magical thanks to the attentive service of everyone on the staff. But most especially due to having Marta with us every day. Her personality was just so fun, her knowledge was extensive, and her ability to translate everything about Tuscan life to us in English made it all so perfect. Although there are a few small scheduling things I would change, everything went so smoothly and nicely. All the attention to details in the side trip arrangements was greatly appreciated and made for an outstanding experience. Everyone in the group was constantly amazed by the quality of the food and wine we enjoyed every night at the Palazzo, and our rooms were spacious and very pleasant. And now that we are here in our Sorrento apartment looking out over the harbour everyday, we are totally relaxed and enjoying the pace of everyday life here in this beautiful town. Right now the bells are ringing in the church below and the water is gently swishing in the harbour and the fresh sea air is lulling us to sleep at the end of yet another lovely day. Thank you so much for everything!! You are a real gem to have worked with for all the months leading up to this trip. I greatly look forward to putting together another trip with you in the near future.
With Warmest Regards,

Thank you for the information sent to me this morning. I must say how impressed I am with your service. I had never dreamed that I could have booked an Italian holiday whilst living in Germany with an American based firm!! I have not encountered service like yours anywhere in Europe, and as for some of the ‘villa' outlets I have contacted their response has varied between kind of helpful to downright awkward. Yours however, is in a different class. I know we bang on about the UK-USA special relationship, but whether you live this side of the ‘pond' or on yours, thank you for it. Please bring back Lend-Lease so we may continue to help each other.
God bless America.
I want to simply say thank you for all of your help at Initaly.com. I am currently in Iraq as a combat firefighter and this will be my first vacation from the "sand box" and you have made this vacation very easy to work out. Your customer service should not go unrecognized. If there is something I can do to show others how amazing your staff is please let me know. Please inform the staff at Initaly.com of this email expressing my thanks.
Dear Kirill, Kristin and others involved in our trip,
Our trip started with a little hitch at the rental company at Malpensa, as you know, with the attendant wanting to charge an extra 7 Euros per day for a change of name to the contract. I take the blame entirely for the error in booking the car in my name when I was not going to be the main driver but thought their service and handling of the situation could have been better. Dougal had no problem in obtaining the identical contract from the rental company next door but do want to thank you again for your quick response and checking that we weren't charged for the initial booking.
I would like to thank you all for the valued help in planning our itinerary for our trip in Italy. I very much appreciated the guidance of routing our trip from Lugano via Lake Como to the Italian Riviera before our five-night stay at Palazzo Bandino near Chianciano Terme. Lake Como was breathtakingly beautiful, thanks to the gorgeous weather and delightful accommodations.
Instead of driving straight to Palazzo Bandino the following day we went via San Gimignano and Siena to avoid the long drive from the farm later as Dougal was reluctant to spend hours in the car once settled at the farm. Our stay at Palazzo Bandino was relaxing and very pleasant as we enjoyed our before breakfast walks around the estate, the complimentary visit to their spa and the wine tasting evening together with other guests. From here we explored the charming historic towns in the vicinity and did the trip to Asissi with a stopover in Cortona on the way back. With the perfect weather, location and proximity to the picturesque countryside we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
Once again, thanks for your help in planning our itinerary with advice on routing, accommodation and drop off of rental car. We had a most memorable time and I have hundreds of gorgeous photos to remind me of the superb experience.
This is a very belated thank you for the arrangements you made for our tours in Venice and Rome last summer. Each guide was superb – knowledgeable, interesting and entertaining, that last point essential for keeping my 14-year-old daughter interested. Lea in Venice not only gave us a great water taxi tour, but went out of her way to enable us to see a site the next day even though Lea got sick and couldn't join us – I never got to thank her, and hope you will do so for us.
Our guide in the Vatican (I forget her name – Lida?) wound up making my daughter enjoy the Vatican more than anything – my daughter took an art history course where she offered to teach the students about the Sistine Chapel because she was so delighted by what she learned about the Sistine Chapel from the guide.
The young man (originally from Poland) who took us around the Coliseum and the Forum was so interesting to listen to and had such nice high energy, and he recommended a restaurant that we loved. And the Ghosts and Walking tour guide was wonderfully knowledgeable and very nice to listen to – we saw parts of Venice we never would have seen on our own.
In Italy Online just became the new definition for awesome. I cannot begin to thank you for helping me plan the most incredible trip of a life time. First stop - Tuscany - Palazzo Bandino. Opening up our window that first morning, I thought I would never be able to breathe again from the breathtaking view. So happy I took your recommendation and attended the cooking class. Marta made Palazzo Bandino the wonderful place that it was. Took the train to Florence, instead of driving. Another one of your brilliant suggestions.
Next stop - Lerici - when we drove into town and I thought I was dreaming. Named the "Italian Riviera" was an understatement. I didn't know such beauty existed. Lerici Seaside Hotel was right on the ocean. I left my door to my balcony open for the 2 nights we were there so I could hear the waves coming in. Unbelievable!!!! The hotel staff was so helpful and accommodating.
To think we were on Cinque Terre walking those streets less than 24 hours before the storms hits is so surreal for me. I had looked all over Italy for a polenta board for my daughter. I had finally found it on Monterosso. It's a cherished purchase as the shop I bought it in is probably not there anymore.
Sorrento - Glad we took your advice and turned in our car. We didn't need transportation as we could walk everywhere and the train station was close by. The friendliest people in all of Italy live in Sorrento. Went to the Isle of Capri, but couldn't go to Positano or Amalfi as the roads were closed due to the storm damage. Took the train to Pompeii and spent the day touring the ruins. Honestly, I could have stayed in Sorrento for those 5 days and not have gone anywhere as that town offers so much to do.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your suggestions, booking all our accommodations, car rental, etc. You are amazing. I am definitely going back next year. I would like to stay for a month or maybe longer. I recommended you quite a few times on our trip as I was asked several times how we planned out our trip. Hopefully you will be getting some business I tried to send your way. At times I felt like I worked in the marketing dept. for InItaly. LOL
Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me a life time of memories.
Kirill and All:
Thanks so much for all the help you gave us. We have just returned from our 3 week trip to Italy and things couldn't have been better. The car rental, as well as your restaurant suggestions were right on the money. All of your tips and suggestions were extremely helpful. I just can't say enough about your terrific customer service, prompt responses and your knowledge about Italy. You have an A plus team and I will definitely use your services in the future and recommend In Italy to anyone who even suggests making a trip to Italy. I cannot express my appreciation with regard to your assistance. It would be great if you could just expand yourselves to InEurope.com. Thanks again for everything.
Sharon and Joe C.
Hi Again Jessica,
Our trip was a great success in large part due to your efforts. Everything In Italy Online arranged was perfect and there were no problems whatsoever. Your suggestions proved to be our best options. Our tour guides were excellent. We especially enjoyed our tour with Dennis in Rome, his knowledge level is most impressive and he seems to have great enthusiasm and passion for his work. Our hotels were great and the folks running them were most pleasant. The Penthouse apartment in Florence (Duomo) is a real gem and I would go back there anytime. Car rental went off without a hitch but I must say that driving in Italy tests one's skills at the wheel. It's a good thing that as an Italian I am up to speed on the various "gestures" used to communicate with other Italian drivers...if you get my drift. The only problems we encountered were with our flight arrangements and it is of interest to note that that part of our trip was the only part not arranged by In Italy Online... I had already made those plans prior to finding you. Jessica, my family and I thank you and In Italy Online for helping us enjoy this very memorable trip to Italy. You will be hearing from us again I'm sure.
Dear Kirill, Kristin, Jessica and the Entire Staff,
Grazie, Grazie, Grazie. We have just returned from what I consider the trip of a lifetime, 12 wonderful days in Italy without even a minor glitch thanks in a very large part to your input, recommendations and hard work.... Every single thing you recommended from our itinerary to our tours and lodging was exactly as you described. It was a daunting task to plan this trip and I never could have done it so well without your help for which I am truly grateful. The locations for our lodgings were perfect, especially Campo de' Fiori. Hassan, who met us, was delightful and very informative. And yes, we did need to know where the main breaker was!!! Our tour guides were wonderful, without exception, and we accomplished so much more with their knowledge and enthusiasm. The staff at Hotel Abbazia could not have been more accommodating and the location was perfect. Palazzo Bandino is a true gem and a wonderful place to relax after 6 busy days of travel. Our absolute favorite spot was Sorrento Villa B&B. It's a breathtakingly beautiful place. Elio, Maria, Guiseppe and Pasquale were all so kind and friendly, even greeting us with fresh lemonade and cake when we arrived. And the food that was prepared for breakfast was amazing, from the fresh squeezed juice to the wonderful quiches and cakes. We enjoyed every minute of the 3 days we were there.....
A few of the best tips I can offer fellow travelers other than listening to everything you recommend, would be. 1. Rent a cell phone from your site....... It is inexpensive, easy and can be a life saver for connecting with drivers, tour guides and family members!!! 2. Buy maps because your GPS will get you lost in the countryside just as you mentioned !!!! 3. Take the Vatican tour with the Early Admission to the Sistine Chapel.... Experiencing it with a handful of people versus wall to wall tourists is worth any additional money you will spend...... And finally, don't hesitate to ask anything before you go. The staff of In Italy is gracious and extremely well informed and every single thing they told me was absolutely correct. I felt very fortunate to have found them....
Dear Kristin, Jessica, Kirill and In Italy,
We want you to know that we had a fabulous vacation and it is because of your wonderful suggestions! My 4 cousins, my husband and myself who traveled there together loved your suggestions for where to stay in Rome, the Rome Terrace Apt. It was perfect! Clean and centrally located for sightseeing! Palazzo Bandino in Chianciano Terme was also perfect!!!! The staff was friendly, apt. was perfect and also a great location! Thank you for making our trip such a success. We plan on going back and we will be contacting you again for suggestions!!!!
Michael and Cheryl R.
We had the trip of a lifetime, thanks to all of the arrangements thru "In Italy".
Campo de' Fiori was a perfect location. When Hassan checked us in he suggested a walk (really a hike) to a fountain in Trastevere where you could overlook the city. We did that and hit it just at dusk - it was beautiful. When we walked back down we ate in Trastevere and found it less expensive than some other places in Rome, and very good. The apartment was great. We would go to the market and the pastry shop in the morning and get our breakfast. The laundry in the apartment worked perfectly.
Villa Odino was probably my favorite place. We purchased train tickets to Venice from the hotel and they provided transportation both ways to and back from the train station. We just had to call when we were leaving Venice and they were there to pick us up. We used your restaurant suggestions as well as the room service one night. All of it was perfect. It was so nice to sit out on the outside tables in the evening and relax.
We took an all day boat tour right from the hotel to Torcello, Burano and Murano. There were only five of us on the tour so it was great. The driver let the five of us decide how long we wanted to stay on each island. We really wanted to have lunch at "Da Romano" on Burano, so that worked out perfectly. The driver even arranged for us to arrive in Murano just in time to see a glass blowing demonstration. On the way back to Villa Odino, the boat driver broke out a bottle of champagne for the five of us to share. It was a great day.
In Soragna we had a lovely time. Locanda del Lupo was a perfect stop for us. My husband and brother-in-law are farmers so one afternoon we drove through the countryside and saw the harvesting of tomatoes. The boys really enjoyed seeing rural Italy. There was an English-speaking lady at the desk at Locanda del Lupo and she arranged for us to see the cheese production, salami production as well as a wonderful cheese museum. All of it was within walking distance.
Rapallo was also wonderful. We had dinner at their restaurant one night. We wanted Bellini's but they were out of the white peaches and asked if we wanted it with strawberries. It was absolutely wonderful - so good that we ordered three more. We took the local boat service to Portofino and Santa Margherita and shopped - a lot.
All of the transfers, lodgings and tours went off without a hitch. My husband was impressed with all of the places that we stayed. They were all clean and in perfect locations for what we wanted to do.
When we picked up the rental car in Rome, we did the paperwork in one location and the had to drag our luggage about 3 blocks to pick up the car. The directions given were not totally clear and we had to ask a few people along the way, but we made it. I think it would have been so much nicer if someone could have brought the car to the office location. We could not have survived our days with the car without the GPS - it was wonderful. Also the dropping off of the car in Florence was a little scary - nowhere to park when we got to the location. But they told us to drive around the block to a little plaza which was just around the corner from the drop off location. They came out and inspected the car - not a scratch. They called a taxi to take us to the apartment and we were good.
Also, just a note - on our way to the airport in Florence, the taxi driver rear-ended a car in front of us. Both drivers got out, waved their hands a bit and then the taxi driver drove us to the airport and the other car followed him. His radiator was punctured and steam was blowing everywhere, but we made it. It's a good laugh now - no one was hurt and we made it home safely.
Thanks for helping with all of our arrangements and answering all of my e-mail questions. I will certainly recommend your website to anyone. In fact on our Tuscany dinner tour, I gave your website to two other groups of people we met. They were impressed that we had apartments to stay in.
Dear Jessica, Kristin and Kirill,
I would like to thank you for all the information and fantastic service you provided us. Our stay in Florence was unbelievable thanks to our location and accommodation, I miss the bells, early morning cleaners, strawberries and panna and most of all the little streets with the best gelato and leather. One thing I would like to advise people travelling with small children, invest in a 49euro stroller from PRE NATALE. It was one of the best things we did and made our life a lot easier.

Jessica and Kristin,
Heather, Jeremy, and I had the most wonderful vacation in Italy, and I owe much of it to both of you. I would like to write this recommendation since you deserve it. Our trip was flawless... when we followed your advice. It was challenging when we ‘went on our own' (such as driving our rental car to Florence... when you absolutely told us to leave the car and take the train – we spent hours in traffic and making the wrong turns... and spending more in parking than we would have spent on taking the train).
I am amazed at how you responded to our frequent emails and relentlessly kept us on track to make the very best choices. You offered valuable information and advice on lodging, transportation, and itineraries. Thank you for your time and patience.
I look forward to returning to Italy and will look forward to contacting In Italy to help me plan my next excursion. Thanks for EVERYTHING... (and we mean, everything you've done for us),
Heather, Jeremy, and Gary
We had an absolutely wonderful time in Italy and here's our comments:
We were met promptly at the Rome airport by the driver you hired which immediately lessened any stress about arriving in a big foreign airport.
Our four-hour private tour of the Vatican was certainly one of our highlights. We were picked up promptly at our hotel (again) and were met by our guide Massimo who had made it to the front of the ticket line by the time we got there. He indicated that as soon as the doors opened that we would get our tickets and go promptly to the Sistine Chapel which we did. We were actually the first ones in the Sistine Chapel that morning which is amazing in and of itself since I have been there several times before and stood nose to nose with other tourists. Our early arrival permitted an extremely informative examination of the Chapel as well as the Vatican Museums and Massimo brought his own camera showing us previous highlights that he had taken pictures of. One of his photos was of the Pope. While others were waiting on lines, Massimo was able to convince a couple of the guards to let us through various different entrances where by we were able to avoid the crowds. I guarantee that we saw much more in 4 hours than virtually anyone else did.
We had no hassle with the train tickets you arranged for us. The only problem was that on our way back to Rome from Florence, we wanted to take an earlier train but it wasn't permitted without a fairly costly fee.
We were also very pleased with the Hotel Abbazia in Venice. The staff there was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room looked out onto a lovely garden and we spent one evening having a late cocktail out there with several other people from New Jersey.
All in all, we were very pleased with your services. We would certainly recommend your services to anyone planning a trip to Italy.

My wife and I want to thank you for all your help with our recent trip to Italy. You made it possible for us to plan a private itinerary for a highly successful series of visits to the hometowns where my grandparents originated.
Your help with our advance planning made the trip run extremely smoothly, which freed us to concentrate on the nature of the trip rather than having to worry about logistics. Your recommendations on hotels, restaurants, car rental, airport-hotel shuttles, ferries, other cities to visit, as well as your sage advice on travel and transportation within Italy and Sicily were superb. Your personalized service made all the difference in the world. I can only imagine how much more difficult our trip planning would have been, had we had to rely solely on websites to navigate the diversity of choices we had to make for a successful trip.
Again, thank you, and know that we recommend you and your online service very highly to others.
Joseph & Dolores L.
I just wanted to write to thank you and Initaly.com for making our recent trip to Italy such a memorable one. Both my wife and I were extremely impressed with the quality of accommodations you were able to acquire for us and the attention to detail you and your co-workers gave to make our trip a success. Everything from booking the train to Venice to finding such a conveniently located apartment in Rome went off without a hitch. It is hard to say which property was our favourite – everyone of them had such unique qualities and were so well maintained, it's difficult to choose. We are truly appreciative of the great work you did for us.
Thanks again and we will be recommending you highly to our friends.
I was so glad I found your company because I don't think I could have planned our time in Rome without you. I will definitely be contacting you again because we go back to Italy about every 3 years. My family is from Calabria, specifically outside of Reggio Calabria so I will want to go there again in the future.
Mary Rose A.
I would recommend In Italy Online to anyone and everyone I know...Your services were great; quick responses, honest evaluations, and great follow up.
Happy New Year!
Joan and Bill V.
I have just returned home to Australia today after 3 wonderful weeks in Italy, one in Florence, one in Tuscany near Siena [arranged by my sister who lives in UK], the third in Venice with both my UK and Aussie sisters and then a final week in Hertfordshire, UK. Jet lag is alive and well after the long haul home, but cannot in any way daunt the great holiday. We were very happy with our one night's accommodation in Rome: easy to get to and close to station for trip to Florence. We were also very happy with Florence Residence. Thank you all so much for your online help and we will happily recommend your website to any friends or family planning to visit Italy. As a not so confident web user, I absolutely appreciated the help you gave via email and all the great info on your site. I hope I will get back to explore more of Italy and will be in touch when that time comes.
Kindest regards and sincere thanks,
Our trip to Italy was absolutely fantastic. All of the accommodations and transport/tour arrangements made through In Italy Online worked out perfectly, there was not a single glitch the entire two weeks. We also tried several of the restaurant recommendations included with our hotel information, and they were all wonderful. The centerpiece of our trip absolutely was the Food & Wine Lover's Southern Tuscany package at Palazzo Bandino, it was a great bit of relaxation in the midst of our visits to the hustle and bustle of Rome, Florence and Venice. If we were to make any change in our itinerary, it would have been to increase our time in Florence from one day to two, as we felt we just did not have enough time to get to know and see the city in one day. Venice turned out to be a wonderful surprise, as we had heard mixed reviews of it from friends and acquaintances who had visited there. We absolutely loved it however, it was probably our favorite city visited simply because it is so unique. We are urging all of our friends to go to Italy if they ever have the opportunity and to do their planning with In Italy Online.
Thanks for everything!
Diane & Preston J.
We had a fantastic time thanks to all of the efforts of the staff at In Italy Online.
The accommodations at Florence Ciompi, while spartan, were adequate and very centrally located. Walking to everywhere we wanted to go was always a pleasure. Our tour with Elisabetta was quite informative and she even asked our favorite Uffizi guitarist to play at her wedding.
The Lerici Seaside Hotel was great. Fourth floor views to the water and just far enough on the edge of town to make for a beautiful evening stroll to town for dinner. The hotel was clean and well maintained and everyone was very helpful. The fact that it is family owned and operated certainly helps. We took a day trip to Carrara to visit the marble mines where Leonardo selected his piece for David. Quite a process.
Palazzo Bandino in Tuscany was centrally located for day trips to all of the sites. We did take a trip to Deruta for majolica pottery. Watching the hand throwing and hand painting gave us a better appreciation for the pieces we purchased.
Campo de' Fiori in Rome was again right in the center of ancient Rome. Easy walking to everything and we visited many of the sights several times. We had plenty of time to sit, relax, and enjoy the scenes around us. Hassan, who oriented us at the apartment, left no stone unturned in describing everything about the apartment and the surrounding area. He was quite helpful, although we noticed there was no soap or paper towels after he left. Massimo gave us the Vatican tour with early entry to the Sistine Chapel. He was very knowledgeable and went into great detail. The early entry is the way to go as there were 500 people there when we passed through later on our way to St. Peter's. Eva, an archeology graduate, did a good job with the Colisseum and Forum tour.
The car rental, garmin rental, and phone rental went off without a hitch.
In the end, we had another wonderful trip to Italy. Friends can't believe that everything could be done online without talking to a single person. Modern technology, isn't it great. Now if someone can just do something about that long plane ride. Thanks again for the help. I will recommend you to anyone planning a trip to Italy.
I'm finally writing to tell you about our fabulous trip! We were so pleased with your services and would highly recommend your website.
We began our trip in Tuscany and then made our way to Florence, Cinque Terre, Lake Como, and Venice. We stayed at Palazzo Bandino in Tuscany and enjoyed our little private cabin "Noce House". We especially loved our cooking class with Chef Luciano and Emanuela. Due to the daily rain we had and getting lost everyday in our rental car, we feel it might have been better for us to have stayed somewhere more central like Siena perhaps. We did have an amazing day when the sun finally peaked out and we drove to the Altesino winery in Montalcino. Our favourite restaurant was in Chiusi called "L'Osteria La Solita Zuppa". Absolutely fabulous! We enjoyed a half day at Terme Di Chianciano Spa. A perfect thing to do on a rainy day.
Our favourite spot was Cinque Terre. We stayed at Lerici Seaside Hotel right at the water. From there we boated, went by train, or walked to the different seaside towns. We had 2 amazing dinners not far from the hotel. One was at "Golfo Dei Poeti" and the other, "Straluna". We also loved a seaside restaurant in Portofino called "Delfino".
Thank you Kristin for always being there when we needed you. You were always ready with suggestions and information ( and directions !!!!).
Two very important lessons we learned were:
1) Have good directions and maps
2) Research some of the history and architecture before you begin your trip.
There was so much beauty that would be more meaningful if you did your homework. Thanks again Kristin and InItaly!
In Italy Online did a fantastic job. We go to Italy just about every year. This is the first time I was aware of your services. We simply had a fantastic time. I have been to Italy so many times that I could write and write about what I believe to be "hidden treasures." I will just say that the the apartment in Siena was perfect, absolutely perfect. My one suggestion to your readers: Drive the country roads in Italy; one must drive to really see the surroundings. Thank you for your efficient services.
Last week we returned from an amazing trip in Italy. All the hotels, the food, and the locations were exceptional. Lerici Seaside Hotel was excellently located, allowing us to enjoy Italy away from the tourist crowd and at the same time explore the Ligurian coast. The Villa a San Gimignano was paradise! We experienced superb customer service at the Villa, which made our stay there much more comfortable. Marco was very friendly and made us feel right at home. I was so happy to follow your advice to stay for 4 nights at each site. We had enough time to sightsee and relax. Thanks so much for all your help, that made our vacation in Italy more pleasant and enjoyable.
I wanted to thank you and the rest of the associates of In Italy Online for helping make our maiden voyage to Italy such a wonderful experience. I found the extensive information on the website to be of invaluable assistance, and your patient assistance with all my questions helped me feel much more secure in my planning.
We stayed at In Italy-recommended hotels exclusively during our stay, and found them to be consistently comfortable, with spacious rooms and bathrooms, generous breakfasts and pleasant staff. We appreciated the packet of information you supplied for each hotel, and when we took your restaurant suggestions, we had some of the best meals of our trip. (The restaurants in Chianti were particularly wonderful!)
Two of the highlights of our trip turned out to be the guided tours we took of Ancient and Baroque Rome with Eva, and of Pompeii with Elisa. Given the limited amount of time we had in each city, it was great to be able to see the sights without spending a huge portion of our day trying to figure out how to take public transportation from one location to another, and then waiting in entrance lines once we got to our destination. Furthermore, both guides were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and willing to answer all our question - even those that had nothing to do with the tours we were on! We would also like to express our particular gratitude to Rosario, our driver from Sorrento to Pompeii, and on from there to Naples. We needed to have lunch in Naples between our Pompeii tour and catching the train from Napoli Centrale back up to Rome, and Elisa had recommended a favorite pizzeria close to the station. Rosario, concerned that two Americans with suitcases roaming the streets of Naples would be easy targets for pickpockets, took the trouble to rearrange his schedule so that he could drive us to the pizzeria, wait while we lunched, then take us to the train station from there. We very much appreciated his thoughtfulness and concern for our well-being, and we would be grateful if you could pass that on to him and/or his employer.
All in all, our trip was wonderful, and we give In Italy Online much of the credit for that. Now that we have gotten a taste of Italy, we already have ideas for two more in-depth itineraries to see more of our favorite areas, and visit the places we couldn't get to on our whirlwind visit. When the time comes, we will certainly be using your services again, and in the meantime, will be recommending you to anyone looking for a great Italian experience.
Grazie mille, e arrivederci!
With best regards,
Mark and Jill R.

We had a wonderful time in Italy. Thank you so much for your help in planning our trip to Sicily. I had researched the island on and off for a year and simply felt I could not make the kind of decisions by myself that I needed to make. Using your guidance was the absolutely best way for me to plan our two week trip. It was a wonderful feeling as we went from one place to another that our destination would always be a special place. The hotels and villas we stayed in were so beautiful and always, always the people there were superb. I will always depend on your site for future travel to Italy.
Mary Beth H.
You did it again---we liked our hotel in Rome and the lovely people there. Also our tour of Vatican and transfers all worked---which still surprises me.
Thanks for your help
Just wanted to thank you and the rest of the staff at In Italy for arranging a very pleasant vacation for my wife and me earlier this month. All of the hotels offered clean rooms, good beds, and very helpful people at the front desk. The hotels in Como and Florence were particularly exceptional, and we can't thank you enough for the assistance that you gave. I've already recommended you to some friends and will do so anytime anyone I know is looking for truly expert advice. If Italy has a temporary shortage of wine, gelato, or seafood, I can assure you that we had nothing to do with it.
Ciao to everyone at In Italy,
Please know how much my husband and I appreciate Kirill's expertise and his patience with us as we peppered him with questions. He would get back to us very quickly and has infinite knowledge of Italy. He also provided great suggestions and definitely cares about making sure we get the most out of our trip. As you know, I used you before to book our first trip to Italy and it was beyond wonderful, to say the least. We are thrilled with our itinerary and look forward to booking more activities.
First of all, thank you so much for all the assistance your staff gave me in preparing for my trip. I wouldn't have had a clue what to do or how to plan without your help. In particular, I would like to thank Julie for all her helpful advice. As for any comments, well the trip was amazing - a once in a lifetime experience. The only difficult part was trying to find our way around when driving. It was quite challenging and despite my best efforts, I still wasn't prepared. Not sure I'd do that part again. Thanks again for all your help. I wish you continued success.
We have just returned from our trip to Italy, we had a wonderful time and we much appreciate all your help and advice. The locations in Venice, Milano and the Tuscany/Umbria region were wonderful. We were very lucky because the weather was just perfect, we rented a car in Florence and used a GPS device to navigate through Italy and it was a life-saver, we recommend that anyone who plans to drive in Italy either bring one along or rent one. The instructions you gave us with our Hotel Vouchers were extremely helpful, travel by train from Venice to Milan and then to Florence was a wonderful experience. The time spent in the Tuscany/Umbria region will forever be one of our fondest travel memories, your suggestions were spot on! Thank you for all your help and advise, we hope to return to Bella Italia in the future...we'll be in touch.
Frederick & Irene B.
This was the second trip to Italy where I used your web site for hotel, car, and museum reservations. The trip was free of concern about where we were going to stay or if we would be getting into a museum we really wanted to visit with having made the arrangements in advance. Your web site certainly made the trip easier and I will most certainly be using your site again to plan our next trip.
Thanks so much for your help!
Our trip to Italy was the best trip I have ever taken. This is in large measure to working with In Italy. Everything we scheduled through In Italy was excellent and made our trip much more fun. I would recommend your organization to anyone who might be going to Italy.
We were a party of six. We booked our accommodations through In Italy Online. The accommodations exceeded our expectations. We are completely satisfied with the services provided by In Italy Online. All information passed to us before the trip was extremely accurate. In Italy Online was thoroughly accommodating to our needs and readily responded to all of our inquiries before our departure. Most of all I found In Italy Online to be totally reliable. I could not find one single thing to complain about their support.
Robert G. M.
I would like to thank all the staff involved in our transfers that you arranged. The drivers and particularly the guides provided were very pleasant and informative. They were always early to pick us up and made our journeys with them a very pleasant experience.
We will have no hesitation in recommending your services to all our friends. Thanks again for helping to make our time in Italy a pleasurable and memorable experience.
Ken B. and all our travel crew
What a marvelous company you are! We found our stay in Florence to be quite enjoyable and the apartment to be as we expected it from your site. You contacted us with our information ahead of time and now are seeking our input. Bravo!
I say this, because unfortunately we rented an apartment in Rome from a company called Rental-in-Rome, which turned out to be a disaster. They were as bad as you were good. I shall be happy to recommend your services in the future.
I wanted to thank you for all your help with my trip to Italy. I had a wonderful time, and both hotels that your reserved for me were super clean and the staff helpful and very friendly. Thank you again, I am passing on your website to everyone I know who is planning a trip to Italy.
All of our tours were wonderful, as well, and more than we ever expected. Eva in Rome, Elena in Venice and Valentina in Florence were charming, lovely women who were experienced, knowledgeable and truly committed to our enjoyment. I cannot say enough about the quality of service these wonderful women provided to us. When booking through the Internet, one takes a big chance. I want to thank you for being honest, forthright and totally accommodating to all of our needs. Your agency is a credit to all of you and you should take great pride in the service you provide. I will recommend you to all of my friends and when we go back to Italy for our 3rd time, I will once again be calling upon you to help me plan our trip.
Con ringraziamento più profondo,
I would like to thank you for all your help in planning our trip. Of course we were a little uncertain as to what to expect booking on line, but to our surprise everything went really well. When we arrived at the airport, the transportation you provided was there waiting for us which took us right to our apartment. The apartment was in a great location. The tour we booked through you was great they picked us up on time and showed us everything. I really want to thank you, so much you made our trip easy and hassle free.
I just returned from a wonderful trip to Italy which can be contributed greatly to the help and the services that I obtained from inItaly.com. Every service that you offered from the Car, Cell Phone, Gps to the fabulous guided tours in Florence by Elizabeth and in Rome by Joanna was outstanding. I thank you for all of your help and will definitely tell all of my friends that they cannot go to Italy without inItaly.com. Please keep me updated on your services for use on future trips. Thanks again to all the help that I received from the entire staff of inItaly.com
I wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time in Italy!!! I especially wanted to thank all of our tour guides, Elena and Elisabetta in Venice, Maurizio in Florence, Stefano and Michael in Rome, and Costantino and Julianna and our driver Miguel in Naples. Everyone was so nice and extremely informative. We learned so much from all of them. We loved the fact that it was only the 4 of us on each tour. Even my kids (21 and 17) enjoyed all the facts we learned as well as the little bits of gossip here and there. It was totally enjoyable to have just educated and interesting guides. I doubt we would have had such a good time without them.
Thank you all for your help. I have and will continue to recommend your website to anyone I know who is thinking of going to Italy.
We cannot say enough about our trip to Italy. It was fabulous beyond our expectations. Every plan, every appointment, every hotel --perfect. We did not have one "hitch". Antico Palazzo di Roma was in a perfect location. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Hotel Ca'D'Oro was situated on a blissfully quiet street so we could sleep at the end of our long days touring. And Palazzo Bandino was heaven. The host and hostess felt like our friends. The food was unbelievable and the itinerary was such fun. We were driven to several beautiful little towns and promptly picked up at the end of the day. We truly felt like we were family. We also had a personal tour of the Vatican and of Venice. Our guides, Barbara for the Vatican, and Elena in Venice were extremely knowledgable and professional. We learned so much and were able to get information we would have missed otherwise. We hope to return to Italy in the future and we will certainly use your services again. Thank you for your excellent service and for caring about providing your clients with a memorable trip they will never forget.
Jim and Judi B.
Thanks for the site Kristin,
I printed out most of the information on the Ravenna mosaics (20 pages or so) and referred to them while I was in the churches and other buildings - thanks for the excellent art history guide!
We had a wonderful time. Your website was most helpful. We enjoyed all our lodgings. It was delightful to experience the "off-season" as the only tourists at some amazing places. The unseasonable weather surprised us with sunny skies and comfortable out-of-doors. The vouchers worked very wel
