Camping Sites

Camping is very popular in Italy, with over 1,700 official sites in operation. Nominal fees are charged per person on a daily basis. Local tourist boards and provincial tourist offices can be consulted for suggestions on the most suitable camping sites in their vicinities.

A complete list of camping sites with location map is issued free by the Federazione Italiana del Campeggio e del Caravanning (Federcampeggio). Their web site is in Italian only, but if you email them you might get an answer about a copy of the list. They also publish a book, Guida Camping d'Italia. Click here for their web site.
