This very small hotel is concealed within a typical courtyard at the very heart of the city around the corner from the Fenice Theatre. Along one side runs a quiet canal, artery of day-to-day life as well as tourist gondolas. On the top floor, windows overlook the characteristic red tile rooftops, studded with wooden terraces and interspersed with ancient belltowers. This is not a deluxe hotel, but its rooms are charming and well furnished, and they offer some clever 21st-century surprises. |

20 rooms, including singles, doubles, triples, quads and two that offer views of the Barcaioli canal. Rooms on the rear are a little smaller but very quiet. Triples and quads have a queen-size bed and one or two single day beds. All rooms are furnished with Venetian antiques, damask walls and draperies and Murano lamps, and have private bathrooms.
