Terminus on Lake Como

Built at the turn of the 20th century, this is widely considered the nicest hotel in Como town, and it is very long on charm and style. A favorite of wealthy Milanese who came to the lake for weekend getaways, it combines the warmth of history with the comforts of technology, offering all the modern amenities we want within a context of Art Deco architecture and décor. From the stone façade to the one-of-a-kind lobby, everywhere you look you'll spot intricate moldings, carved woodwork and boiserie, wrought-iron fixtures and imaginative details. The staff is well known for its willingness to help make your stay on the lake as much fun as you hope -- and with everything located just around the corner, you'll be able to maximize your time and enjoyment.

Location: In Como town, one block from the main square and three blocks from the cathedral. The train station is about 800 yards away and the hotel faces the lake. If you arrive by car, you can drive right up to the door. Click here to see a map.

Public
transportation:
The lake steamers to Bellagio, Varenna, Menaggio and Tremezzo dock one block away. If you are arriving from Malpensa, a bus goes to Como several times a day, and it stops right in front of the steamer dock.
