Character: Modern hotel surrounded by a large historic garden. Advantages: Close to Naples Airport, but in a beautiful residential neighborhood, so you can stay "outside" Naples but still be "in" Naples. This is the perfect choice for those who would like to visit Naples and its numerous world-class museums, but aren't crazy about the traffic and legendary chaos that have given the city a bad reputation (undeservedly, in our opinion, but that's another matter!). Set on a hill 450 feet above sea level, surrounded by King Charles III's 18th-century garden, with glorious views of Mount Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples, it offers a relaxing, tranquil setting where the loudest noise is the chirping of birds who never have to migrate, thanks to the wonderful climate that keeps this area green all year long. If you're flying into or out of the airport, the location is just 15 minutes away, right off the highway (or the hotel offers a shuttle), making it as easy as it is pleasant. And once you've parked on the property's lot and checked in, you'll find yourself in a modern room that's spacious by Italians standards, and enhanced by the beautiful views outside your picture window or balcony.

Public Transportation: There is a bus from Piazza Garibaldi between 5:30 am and 11:30 pm (the bus stops about 700 yards from the hotel). You can also take the subway Red Line part of the way. A bus goes from Naples Airport to Piazza Garibaldi, where you can catch the abovementioned bus.         Rooms: 51 rooms and 4 junior suites. Executive Doubles are on the 3rd or 4th floor and have parquet floors and two full-size beds or one king bed, plus views of the Bay of Naples or the park; 18 of them have a private furnished balcony; 10 have a picture window and 2 have a large private terrace. Standard Doubles have tile or parquet floors, one queen bed or two single beds; a third or fourth single bed can be added; some have step balconies and others have a small terrace but none have views. 3 Junior Suites have a sitting area and a bedroom; 1 has two double bedrooms; all have a terrace with no view. Every room has a private bathroom.         Features: Air conditioning, double-glazed windows, soundproof walls, flat-screen satellite TV, direct-dial telephone, mini-bar, safe, and DSL Internet access in some rooms (5 Euro/hour). All bathrooms have hair dryers and stall showers, except six which have a bathtub.         Facilities: Elevator; Internet point (5 Euro/day); indoor/outdoor restaurant facing the park; hot and cold American buffet breakfast; panoramic solarium; cocktail bar; room service; free outdoor parking; secure garage parking for a fee; complimentary shuttle from/to Naples Airport (must be reserved in advance); complimentary morning shuttle to downtown Naples and back before dinner.
