We had a fantastic trip...Our lodging at Casa Chianti exceeded our expectations. The grounds were beautiful and the hosts who lived in the main house were very gracious. They left baskets of fresh fruit from their trees and maintained the property in excellent shape. We had a bit of a problem finding the property at first due to its remote location but once we found it, were very pleased. Recommendation: The La Toppa restaurant in San Donato in Poggio is wonderful; it is family owned/operated and tucked away inside the walled portion of San Donato...only a few minutes from our lodging..."mama" makes fresh pastas daily and different local Tuscan specialties..one of the best meals we had. San Donato also good place to buy groceries and has a small deli for meats, cheeses, vegies, etc. in addition to a Coop market. Thank you for making all our arrangements so painless including the car rental in Florence and the Uffizi gallery ticket reservations. Greve in Chianti and the Macelleria Falorni meat shop were one of our favorite day destinations. You have to see it to believe it. I have already recommended InItaly to friends making travel plans for next year. We will also use you on our next trip to Italy which I hope is in the next 2 years.

Our stay at Casa Chianti was wonderful. The setting, the grounds and the views were spectacular as billed. The location was perfect for us, we were able to easily take day trips around Tuscany very conveniently, but the house was peaceful and secluded as advertised. One small correction I would suggest you make is to remove the reference to washing machine listed under features line on your Casa Chianti page. There was not a washing machine in either apartment, and this caused a bit of a problem, since we all packed with the assumption that we would have a washing machine to do laundry, and ended up having to do some wash by hand in the sink of the kitchen. The custodian said that she would do a load of our wash in their house if we wanted her to, but we didn't feel comfortable asking her to do that. I am not sure if this is what you meant in stating that there was a washing machine present, but I think it is a bit misleading. Other than that we were very happy with our stay.
