Villa Toscana's Guestbook

Back to Villa Toscana

Our trip to Tuscany and San Remo was fantastic. The Villa Toscana was marvelous, even though the road from town was treacherous. We mastered the "beep beeps" around corners and using the mirrors. What we enjoyed most was exploring the garden, picking fresh herbs which were abundant, cooking in the marvelous kitchen with the incredible view. We made pizza in the oven (quite a challenge) and explored Rapalla, Santa Marguirita Ligure, Portofino, Florence and Cinque Terre (Montorosso)...all nice half day trips. Unfortunately, we could not fit in Lucca. Our host Patrizia was very accomodating and we communicated well in spite of our limited Italian.

Also, I would like to thank In Italy for making the entire process of booking these accommodations so easy. Everything from making the arrangements via email and the instructions for our arrivals went smoothly.

Hi Jess--

Thanks for your note. We thoroughly enjoyed Villa Toscana--the views from the second floor deck--and out the bedroom window were wonderful. We spent many hours observing the beauty of the surrounding mountains and Camaiore in the valley below. We had quite of bit of difficulty finding the Villa/and Patricia's home. I believe she must have been looking for hour however, as she appeared "out of nowhere" to help us find the Villa--in the last 0.5 KM. The map we purchased from your website was very useful. Tell your future guests--we enjoyed good service in the town of Camaiore and for them to explore not only the main "centre" but also the plaza area--where we were able to see a Prince of Italy visiting the local dignitaries.

The drive to Pisa was fairly short and with a couple of directions along the way we located the leaning Tower of Pisa and the various churches within the complex. We did not get to the Cinque Terre area--as it appeared to be a somewhat complex drive through the autostratas and the town of La Spezia--and we needed to get an earlier tart--say by 9:00am.

Speaking basic Italian language was a must--we found for directions, understanding signs and communicating with the local residents. Overall--a wonderful part of our 2003 Europe trip.

Regards,
Charles B.

Kristin,

The house is really well laid out and comfortable as we are now warm. And the view is spectacular too! The drive is a bit exciting and we make sure that we do not try and make the climb up the mountain in the dark. But once here, it is a fabulous view! We have really enjoyed our stay! Please, please tell Claudio that we enjoyed the week. It is an extremely comfortable villa (now that the heat has warmed up the house) and we could not be more pleased! Thank you for your help and we look forward to doing this again!
