Dear In Italy,
Our stay at Villa di Pratomagno was fantastic. The "In Italy" website gave a perfect description of the property and rooms. I highly recommend the "Fireplace" Room. It was very spacious and had a great bathroom, with all new fixtures. The Villa sits on a hill and overlooks the beautiful rolling hills of Tuscany. The grounds are very well kept, with a beautiful pool and outdoor seating area.
Our hostess was very accommodating and made dinner reservations for us each night at wonderful local restaurants. Additionally, the breakfasts served at the Villa were a great assortment of fresh meats & cheeses, fruit, omelets, cereal, juices and coffee.
As far as activities are concerned, many of the must-see towns in Chianti are within a 45 minute drive. I highly recommend renting the bikes and riding to the town of Loro Ciuffenna. Its about a 20min bike ride to a lovely town with a beautiful river and waterfall running right through it.
One thing I will note is that the Villa is very remote and not easy to find. The narrow, windy, roads and the small sign to the Villa are difficult to follow, especially at night time. It took us about 45min to actually find the hotel once we were in the area. The directions were a little confusing. Also, we were there in mid-October and the Villa was empty (other than my husband & I) for most of our stay. We are very social people and found this to be a little disappointing at times (not to mention creepy). Having said that, some people might enjoy the solitude and I’m sure that the summer months are more busy.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back to Villa di Pratomagno with a few friends or family members next time! We would recommend this hotel, as well as the In Italy website to anyone looking to travel to Tuscany.
We also booked a wine tasting at the Palazzo Bandino through the "In Italy" website. The lesson was very informative and included a tour of the winery and a sit-down lunch. The directions to this location were perfect.

Thank you, and we had an awesome trip to Italy! Our stay at the villa was short but wonderful. It is an incredible place, so much beauty. Our room was beautiful and our breakfasts terrific, and the staff was so warm and friendly. We hope to stay here again in the future only longer! A truly remarkable spot. It is everything that Tuscany should be.
