Afterwards, stroll over to the Pantheon and have the world's best gelato; if you're a coffee aficionado, take the Romans' favorite taste test and decide whether you are a diehard fan of Tazza D'Oro or Sant'Eustachio. You will probably need to sample their wares several times before coming to a decision!

The apartment is a perfect budget accommodation for a couple or a family with one child. It features a large living room with sofa and dining table, a separate kitchen with oven and dishwasher, a bedroom with king bed and window facing a quiet pedestrian-only street, a loft above the bedroom with a large mattress and loads of cupboards, and a beautiful tiled bathroom with stall shower. The woodwork, exposed bricks, coved ceilings and terracotta floors create a feeling of authentic Roman warmth, providing a striking ancient background as you use the 21st-century Internet to check your emails.

The price you pay is based on the maximum number of people who use the apartment at any one time during your stay, even if for only one night
