Before you let the lack of an elevator discourage you from considering this apartment, we urge you to read on and find out what rewards await you at the top of those short 40 steps! Even before you cross the threshold, we guarantee you will have been enchanted by the quiet, ivy-shaded cul-de-sac street upon which the building fronts; just down the street from Piazza di Spagna and yet virtually unknown to tourists, it is one of Rome's most exclusive addresses shared by only a handful of neighbors. So, step inside, climb that easy flight of stairs, open your front door and step into your secret getaway.

On the right side of the foyer, a door leads to a spacious dining room, featuring a table for 6 as well as a love seat and cupboard for loads of dishes. From this room another door leads to the master bedroom, which faces a pedestrian alley and has a queen bed, desk, dresser, and en suite bathroom with tub and separate stall shower. This bathroom is shared in "Jack-and-Jill" fashion with a single bedroom that has more closets than even the world's worst vacation packer could ever use! A door from this room leads back to the foyer, where you round the corner to enter the stunning living room. Huge, sunny and inviting, this room has soaring casement ceilings, terracotta floors, two very tall windows, two full sofas and a flat-screen satellite TV. But its crowning glory is no doubt the brick wall that dates back hundreds of years and has been painstakingly restored to its original splendor.

Off one side of this room is the other suite, composed of a bathroom with tub and a bedroom with double bed (suitable for one adult, two small children, or newlyweds!).  Back through the dining room one comes to the separate eat-in kitchen, which combines an old-fashioned feel with the latest appliances, including a full fridge, gas range, oven, dishwasher and washing machine.
