Kneipp Foot Massage TherapyInaugurated in October of 2006, this beautiful facility in the heart of Tuscan wine country offers a one-of-a-kind chance to indulge your senses, restore the balance of your energy fields and give your body the vacation it truly deserves. And all of this can be accomplished in just two or three hours! The self-guided itinerary through a series of short and pleasing spa treatments works by realigning the five basic elements (water, fire, earth, air and ether). It combines ultra-modern architecture with ancient thermal healing techniques, incorporating the healing waters of Chianciano, which have been reducing the stress of the overworked and underpaid for thousands of years. Indeed, it was the Etruscans who discovered these thermal waters. Just imagine, when the ancient Romans began to flock to Chianciano the baths were already hundreds of years old! But now the experiences they invented, such as relaxing in a warm, humid environment and then slathering their bodies with mineral-enriched mud to bring a silken glow to their skin, have been enhanced by the very latest in spa technology, resulting in the Terme Sensoriali, an absolutely unique experience available exclusively in Chianciano.
Sound complicated? Wrong! It couldn’t be simpler! All you have to do is decide which of the six experiences you need the most (toning, relaxing, energizing, detoxifying, remodeling or rebalancing). You will then be given a robe, slippers, towels and your own personalized itinerary, and you’ll cross the threshold into a soothing world filled with warm lights and soft music. Each station of your itinerary has instructions in Italian and English, as well as warnings about any possible side effects (which are mainly due to the temperature in a few of the rooms). Because you can do the itinerary at your own pace, the entire experience is refreshing and relaxing at the same time!
