Day One
- Arrival at the Naples airport or Salerno rail station, where a taxi will take you to your accommodations at Marmorata Hotel.
- Afternoon free, perhaps to visit nearby Amalfi, lounge by the pool or swim in the sea.
- Evening cocktail followed by your welcome dinner.
- Overnight at Marmorata Hotel.
Day Two
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Transfer directly to Capri, where you can spend the day visiting the charming old town, Anacapri and the Blue Grotto. Walkers will want to hike the panoramic beginners trail along the rear of the island to get the best view of the Faraglioni, Capri's famed twin rocks.
- Afternoon return to the hotel.
- Dinner and overnight at Marmorata Hotel.
Day Three
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- 9:30 departure for Ravello, where you will meet your guide and visit 13th-century Villa Rufolo; Villa Cimbrone, with its magnificent gardens and the famous postcard view of the Amalfi Coast; and the unforgettable 11th-century cathedral.
- In the afternoon, weather permitting, you will travel by boat to Positano. The shopping here is exceptional because it offers both top fashion designer boutiques and the workshops of local artisans.
- On the way home if there is time, you may visit Amalfi to see its elaborate cathedral and cloisters.
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day Four
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- 9 am departure for Pompei, where you will visit the vast ruins caused by Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD.
- On the way home, you may stop in Vietri to visit the world-renowned ceramics workshops and perhaps buy a dinner set, or even a garden bench! These are some of the best ceramicists in the world, and they will ship your purchases directly to your home.
- Typical local dinner with mandolin and guitar accompaniment.
- Overnight
at Marmorata Hotel.
Day Five
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Transfer by taxi to Naples Airport or Salerno rail station.
