• La Pergola (Via L. La Vista 27, Rionero; tel. 011-39-0972/72119, fax 721-819). Three stars with restaurant.
• Hotel Club San Diego in Maratea.
• Grand Hotel Pianeta Maratea (Loc. S. Caterina, Maratea; tel. 011-39-0973-871-966; fax 871-948) is a large four-star hotel on the hill. Its 165 rooms have balconies facing the sea, two phones, color TV, radio and well-stocked bathrooms. There's a futuristic swimming pool with slides and lifts, three tennis courts, a sauna, spa, restaurant, private shuttle service to the beach below, and facilities for windsurfing, waterskiing and diving.
• Hotel Villa del Mare (Via Nazionale SS18, Maratea; tel. 011-39-0973-878-007; fax 878-102) is less luxurious, but it sits in a magnificent location right above its own deserted cove. The 75 rooms have sea-view balconies, phone, bar and air conditioning, there are two restaurants, two bars, a pool, disco and water sports available.
• Romantik Hotel Villa Cheta Elite (V. Timpone 46, Maratea; tel. 011-39-0973-878-134; fax 878-135) is a charming Liberty-style building set high on the hill overlooking the water. Its 18 rooms are roomy and bright, furnished with antiques and overlooking either the water or the forest. Its restaurant is one of the best in the area, and the hotel offers shuttle service for the beach.
• Hotel Settebello (Via Lido Fiumicello, Maratea; tel. 011-39-0973-876-277) is a rather nondescript hotel, but all its rooms are clean and most have a sea-view balcony, phone, color TV and air conditioning. The hotel's two attractions are its location right on the beach and its excellent seafood restaurant.
• Sammartino (Largo Pietro Micca 44 Isernia; tel./fax 0865/78239). 22 rooms with bath; restaurant. Inexpensive.
• San Salvador (Via Marconi 26 Isernia; tel. 0865/78590). 30 rooms with bath; restaurant. Inexpensive.
• Italia (P.zza XX Settembre 11 Isernia; tel. 0865/78589). 16 rooms with bath. Inexpensive.
• Grand Hotel Europa (SS17, km. 140 Isernia; tel. 0865/411-450, fax 235-287). 34 rooms with bath; restaurant. Moderately expensive.
